Jim and I were talking about this, you know, Friday off to BlizzCon and then took an extra day to come back, obviously on Monday. It feels like we've been going a long time. I think I've packed you so much. Not good at Disneyland. I'm sure it did. A Disneyland is like, that's a whole, that's a whole vacate. Disneyland is of course celebrating Halloween season. They started in August. Of course, they want the money. So when and I want the fun. So when Tim wanted to shit all over me on September 1st, I don't know why there's a problem. I definitely do.

3:03It's hilarious the amount of people that are on your side. It's so crazy to think that like I'm being egregious, saying that Halloween should at the most be celebrated starting October 1st. You said a week. I'm saying I'm saying at most. I know. You said a week. That's where I think you pissed a lot of people off. Oh, I mean, but I think the week is what it should be. Your psychopath. I think it is. I think it's just that like I want it to be against what you're saying. We're like, hey, don't forget their racist. This whole this whole rivalry starts because of the Civil War. It was like, whoa, what the fuck man? Come on. That's not cool. Can you imagine? Can you imagine going to degrees and lengths that are just too far when you're talking about sports? You don't have hundreds of years of stuff, you know what I mean? Yeah. It's crazy. They didn't say no, we're not racist. They just said, whoa, that's not good. That's not good. I said, it wasn't even your racist. It was like, remember, they were a slave state. And they're like, wow, we're not anymore.

5:07That's not what Joe Ham has to say, you know? John Ham said, we were a slave state. I don't know. I want to know what John Ham has to say. He says, zero, you usually look racial. I also want to know what you have to say about Wolverine. Everybody. This is our Wolverine spoiler cast. It's a life of Darren already super chat and saying I'm enjoying Wolverine, but this isn't as good as the Miles Morales game. I love the Miles gaming story. It was 15 to 20 hours long and only $50. Yeah, I also did not enjoy this as much as I enjoyed Miles Morales.

6:11But Greg, there's a lot to talk about. This is a, there's a whole story that we didn't really, but you could get into it. We didn't want to get into it. That's what I wanted to review. Obviously, we talked about kind of our overall thoughts on the quality of it, but we didn't really get to talk about anything that happens. We didn't get to talk about any of the real character dynamics in any type of depth. We didn't really get to talk about the bosses that show up, the ones that we liked, the ones that we were a little on. Sure. I kind of want to start with you and the Sentinels because your preview event, you only got to play the basic Sentinels not just smash you down. Yeah, we're going to get right on the game has multiple Sentinel battles going through, whether it's the more humanoid sized ones that you're facing off against. Ords are more sends us to Wolverine Heaven. The bigger ones. Yeah. What do you think about the finished product now with the entire Sentinel experience from a boss fight encounter perspective? I don't think it did much for me. They definitely tuned the difficulty of that first Sentinel battle.

7:13It went way faster than they did in my previous session. My previous session and I don't think it was that I didn't know what I was doing. Maybe it was that allocation of skill points or something like that effect. But during that previous session, this is going on an egregiously long time, both in phase one and phase two outside with Nistik and Saber-Duth. They got that to where I didn't have it. It didn't feel as I'm doing this again and it's taking this long, which was nice. Once the Sentinels got introduced to humanoid sized people, they're like, that's weird. Maybe I don't. Maybe I don't actually. Maybe I don't. I feel like I know what a Sentinel should look like and how big it should be and how actual scary it should be. So when it's just like the Sentinel dudes, just normal sized Sentinel dudes, and of course, I want to know if this was your take on it too. Every time the game introduces like, whoa, here's a new enemy type that's like, that first fight with them always felt like it took a while. I'm like, I actually had it. And then every other time they showed up, they were just fodder and I ended up telling them apart. I mean, I think that's just because the game taught you how to beat them.

8:15And I think the game's very, like we said, the combat is pretty simple in terms of almost rock paper scissors where it's like, they're not adding many more elements. They always had more hit points. It's basically what I mean though. I hung out longer with them and then they chup and I, it's going to be, oh, there's two of them. But I feel like as the enemies would go on, there was a lot more of those yellow parries. So that means you're like taking down a lot more health if they hit you, it's more. But at that point, I think there were a little more. Anyways, normal side sentals didn't do much for me. And then the big set and all of that point was fine. Again, like I wish we had more of a shadow of the colossus. Like I am, say, don't even give me the small ones. Bring out the big one. Here we did it. Here's, I've realized Trasks division. It's all, but now it's turning you into mutants. And now I am jumping on finding weak spots. Kaga, kaga. People are coming up knocking me off. I have to get thrown back up there. You know, fastball special style to get whatever, like I could have gone for that. Yeah. My problem is we will run through this as so few on the stick's moments and even story

9:18beats, but for this art conversation story, once stick with me where it really is like, I felt let down by every boss fight. Like Omega Red wasn't like a lot of fun to fight. Like I don't remember specific. I remember stanch it is fucking his dreads out of his arms and yanking them. I'm throwing like you know what I mean? Like, so even the big set will fight at the end of like, I don't remember. I mean anything other than serviceable, like everything else in this game in terms of combat. Yeah, the single one at the end, I think kind of set piecewise was what I expected and wanted from the fight. So I feel like that kind of gave me, no, no, it gave you, gave me what I want from the big final battle thing, right? And especially when you had all the sinister stuff around it. And the smaller sense, it doesn't mean that that's classic. Like that's, that's just how, how this has to go. And also classic and somniet game design where you just need the enemy types to level up. Yeah. All back to classic like arcade brawler design of like you get the, you know, the purple foot soldier, then you get the blue foot soldier, then you get, we understand what that means in terms of HP and abilities and all that. But boss fight wise, lady death strike in the middle of the game, I enjoyed quite a bit.

10:23I feel like some of the story beats there really, really worked for me. And then some of them overall like the conclusion of it's with the helix thing like killing her and all that. Well, it's a little bit convenient and rust for the plot that they were trying to tell overall. But I really liked both the mechanics of that fight and how it kind of played with the hordes of hand. I think the hand as an enemy for Wolverine was by far the highlight for me of just generic grunts that you're facing off against. Yeah. And then teleporting around and they're just cool. They look cool. The red school, the areas they're in like everything about that Japan, but I think leveled the game. And that's what I'd like to, I'd rather flip the conversation a bit about right? Or what does stand out to you from the Wolverine game? Like when you go back to it, because for me, it is that start to Japan. I thought being on the plane, getting thrown out of the plane, I'm, you know, climbing my way back into the plane, jeans throwing people around. The planes cry. Like, I loved that. That is like, when I think back on this game and what I'm going to remember, I'm going

11:25to remember that, I think. And then also just I liked being in Tokyo. I liked what that looked like. Yeah, I guess for me, the thing I like most was the getting into the hands layer. Because I feel like the Tokyo, it was cool. If a little underutilized, very utilized, like lots of competing NPCs, lots of like, okay, I can't do any. It's definitely the biggest area in the game, but I think it really kind of highlights just how hallway based the game is, which I don't think is inherently bad. But when you do have a more open space like Japan and it is just a lot of the hallways next to each other, it is a little deceiving. I felt like there was going to be more things for me to be able to do. And in some ways, it's like, oh, you can crawl up this wall, but you can on this one. And it didn't feel as consistent as I would have liked because it did give me the impression that I was going to be doing much cooler things. There are stepping moments where you're running on the rooftops and the big dinosaur thing and you're like dodging it and stuff. It's like, and it is cool, but it is so on rails that like you can almost look around

12:25to the Japan from the floor and like see, oh, eventually I'm going to get there. When you're down there, it looks like, oh, there's like places to go. And again, I didn't need it to be more open, but it's presented open. And so that's the thing that was hard for me to kind of wrap my head around. But then once you get down into the layer in Japan that's for the hand, I loved going through those caverns and like kind of getting the story beats of what happened and why they're so upset with Wolverine. Yeah. And I call him the Shinigami, like the God of Death and kind of revealing over time that this layer is their tomb where in past lives Wolverine has killed hundreds of not thousands of hand members. That is such a cool idea for somebody that we know that we're playing as that is just killing and ripping people up and can't remember his past to have his past involved being the God of death, the God of death. And especially as that plays into the apocalypse stuff later, which I think is obviously well intentioned. I think very poorly done.

13:28But I think that the teases of it here of him being literally the embodiment of death to the hand against lady death strike like all that stuff was really cool. And I think the boss fight and that area using the insomniac tech of the portals and like the fun. I don't even know the best way to put it like what is it's not a universe jumping, but it's just like complete different area jumping. You're like, you got to smash that thing and come all the way down here and now a different planes just totally different planes or it's like from a video game perspective, very impressive technically. But then I also think it just adds a lot of fun and intrigue to what's going on here with the hands that are throwing down the smoke bombs and all that stuff. And just that section of the game was like such a highlight to me for sure. Yeah, I'm with you on that. Like I think that was all really cool. And even like when we got to the point where the hand gets introduced early on, which is from my demo, right? Was a breath of fresh air to go from the mechanical cyborg people to suddenly it was the hand. I enjoyed fighting them more and I thought they were more interesting.

14:30I loved stabbing me with katanas and me yanking them out and then using them to attack people. I thought it was better iconography right of like I talked about of them. You know Wolverine's running grabs a guy to guys jump out the stab him the chest and we smashed to the glass. We all come down and get some payload of the thing. That all worked really well for me in terms of like that's cool. But it was that usual thing of like I'm playing them. I wish this wasn't the game. Like I want your take as I know we haven't actually talked. We talked in code about it there or whatever, but I don't know your take on the overall story. And I personally feel like a more narrow story, a smaller story, a smaller scope could have gone so much further. Like I would have rather fleshed out more of this with the hand more of being the shimagami right of like this is what we're doing not to say like ignore other things or not have other threads. But like I just like from this jump 30 years, 30 years ago Wolverine's this fair little guy British man starts talking to him. Oh, it's in Fanny, oh, that's Mr. Stinister.

15:30Okay, he's a bad guy. Like I'm not, I'm not at no point to this game have me believing that Troy Baker is going to be the good good guy that we're going to turn this or to go somewhere. So I'm like, I'm obviously going to fight it. So to get to the inevitable conclusion of him just having the gem in his head and being in the cape and being in the outfit. I was like, that didn't feel earned. I didn't understand what I'm doing with that. Oh, I mean, I disagree with that just because like, I don't think it's a problem that we knew that he was bad for the beginning because I do think that if you don't know who Mr. Stinister is, the way the game presents it, I don't think people would think that he's bad until they give you the story beats the show. Like when he the way that he gets, he's trying to control Wolverine when Wolverine kills to ask and he's like, Hey, that was mine to do not you. Like those type of things and it's like, but we also see Xavier do things like that all the time. You haven't seen Charles Xavier well presented so far. Like the Patrick Stewart version is very different than the comic and even animated series version of Xavier. And at this point, it's like, that's just as viable of an option and of a take of the character because we were talking about decades of movies at this point.

16:33But Mr. Stinister is still very much a like, you need to know to know type thing, right? And connect the Essex to that. Like the movies haven't got into in a direct way like the Essex foundation or whatever was in Deadpool 2, but like average people don't understand what that means. An X-Men 97, like if you watch that, you fully understand, but like if you didn't, but I similar to Spider-Man with Doc Ock, I think that there was more of a, are they really just going to keep him a good guy here? Really? But like that was that was more just for that game. And then it, when they had the whole sinister sex and it's like, well, they're going to do this and have auto turn. That all felt so earned, like that felt so good. But Spider-Man is a much better story than Wolverine is. But I don't think that's because of the Essex side of things here. And I think that the, it's not that I was like, oh man, they nailed it. But like I was, I was with it the whole time. Like I like, I love Stroy's performance. Sure it is. Yeah. As Essex. And I just think that overall like the.

17:37I was trying to put into words like where I'm at overall with the story of this game because I don't think it's bad at all. I just don't think it's that good. And I think it's interesting in ways, but I think in the ways that it's interesting, it kind of turned me off. It's like the best way I can put it is it's like a what if episode, but not one of my favorite ones. And there's been a couple in my opinion, bad what if episodes. I really love a lot of them. This is one that's just kind of in the middle. It's a story of a very Wolverine in a totally different what if scenario and kind of the point of playing through the stories figuring out what's different from the things that I'm familiar with. Right. And so when you jump it off and start with Essex, it's less to me a question of like, oh, is he really bad? And are they going to keep it that way? And it's more like, oh, they're using him to tell the story we're familiar with of Charles Xavier taking in mutants and have to have to have in the school, having a place for them to go, having a place for them to feel safe and try to find other mutants to bring

18:41them in. But what does that mean? What's his real goal? What and how is he doing it? What's the means the end and all of that? And I was very interested in this game in the early moments of it or hours of it of them setting up the situation of having Essex trying to get this Helix thing to be able to find more mutants to be able to bring him into his school thing. And he asked trying to use it to bring and find mutants to kill all the mutants. And then the, well, we know because we know X-Men of well, Charles Xavier would eventually use something like this with cerebro to bring mutants in his way. And I like that idea of the triangle of they're all trying to do the same thing with very different end goals, right? Yeah. The game doesn't get there though. Like that's the problem. It doesn't ever introduce the Charles Xavier side at all. There's just no X-Men in this period. And I don't think that that means that this is bad. But I do think that's something that a lot of people were very interested in. And the fact that they don't have it here at all and what they give us instead, I think

19:43that's kind of where things start to fall apart a bit where they're clearly kind of hinting that they're building towards the team, the something. But this game in this world seems to be definitively a, not, but what if we just don't do X-Men? Like what if there's team X is the team that we have here? And this Jean Grey is not like the Jean that you know. She's more a Phoenix that has lived many lives and she's entwined with Wolverine over time forever and ever. How are you going to do Cyclops to this dynamic? Is he going to be more like the Wolverine coming in that we're more used to? I don't think that's going to work. I'm not interested in that. I mean, that, I mean, being not interested in it, I think is like the game is a kill he's healing how they do this. I know you and I don't agree on a lot of our criticisms of the story, but for me, it's just like everything happening here and I understand, okay, cool. Like they want to make the parallels they wanted this thing, but to Professor X to the X-Men. To me, I just feel like that is such a swing and a miss idea and I understand wanting

20:48to do something different, but somebody's got to sit somebody down at some point and be yo, we get best case scenario to do this once every five years. Like let's not go crazy here and just let's give people what they want. It was so playing the game. I was so like man, are we really rolling with in this, I'm sorry to other X-Men again, I'm such a mainstream Marvel person, right? I'm not deep in the weeds like him with DC. This felt such like a sea list cast of just like in the teams got mystique and saber to them like, well, I hate saber to and I know mystique usually ends up being bad, but also catwoman kind of, you know, anti hero, whatever, S6 is here. And then when it was the, have we met before? I've heard that before. I started going, oh shit, this is what they're doing. This is all happening in some kind of mental fugues state. There's clones involved. I thought it was clones. I can't believe it was. The X-Men exist and we are going to get a breakthrough where Professor X punches through

21:48and I was like, that would have been awesome to sell us on a game that is, no, no, no, you're doing this whole thing and this is team X, which is so, I know the X-Geen, but so close to X-Men sounds like a fucking knockoff like you know what I mean? It sounds like if, it's something you'd go to buy the X-Men toy in like Chinatown and you get the team X toy instead. Yeah. I was like, oh, we're going to do a crack through the wall and it's finally going to make sense of the bright yellow costumes and the, it's going to, oh man, we've been, and then no, instead we get the, she's a Phoenix. She's, she's, she's, I'm like, that's what we're doing just the, the Phoenix, Jean Grey dies and reset, like when Wolverines, when I'm doing all these fucking nightmare cabins, I'm looking for her. I thought I saw her this, that, her. I was like, oh, I'm playing it. I'm like, what is it the girlfriend when he was in Japan? Is it this, that, and then to get the end of the, like, oh, it was Phoenix every time. Every time it's Phoenix, it, it's Phoenix becomes Jean Grey. And it's like, okay, that's a take, you know, that, I, I get what you're, you're trying

22:49to do there. But yeah, it's, I'm with you. What you're saying right now, it goes to a bigger concern I have with the MCU. I know a lot of people are disillusioned with it and that totally makes sense. But the amount of people that are like, um, the amount of the same people that are just kind of like, that hate the MCU right now or just like over it, that think that the X-Men's going to save it. I'm like, oh man, y'all are setting yourselves up for disappointment. I feel like no matter what happens, no matter how authentic they are to whatever vision they have in their head, it's either just going to be like, oh, we've seen this before. Or it's going to be, oh, it's too money twists, too many steps away. Like, I don't think X-Men's going to be the magical bullets that's going to fix everything. Like, I think even X-Men 97, which came out and was like, kind of just unanimously loved then season two, kind of like towards the end of it. It's like, oh, shit. Well, it's no longer this like bastion of hope of, oh, they still got it. We'll see, but I have my trepidations. I think we should be trepidations about everything, right? And when we're doing any of these things into nostalgia farming and yet to get it.

23:50My thing with the movies would be, we're already in spoilers, but I'm assuming you're up today on Spider-Man brand new day, everybody. We're all, we all saw the movie. We all saw the movie, right? Like, even that interpretation of Jean, like, I don't think we need to rush to them being in the bright colored spandex-mashing suits. I think there's a lot of fun to be had with what this Xavier is and where we're going with it and giving you those touchstones on characters you care about. That's my problem with the Wolverine game. Is that it's like, I don't care about saving tooth. No, no, no, no, just hear me out. I don't care about saber tooth. I don't care about msd. I don't care about Tiger. I don't care about Walter. I care about the X-Men. Night crawler. I mean, I mean, anybody who's like a main person, right? I mean, give me cyborg, give me row, give me game. Give me night crawler. Don't just give me cards and rembo things and ms. Walter, I don't care. Who would the, you know what I mean? Like, that's watch. It's like, give me fucking beast. Like, you know what I mean? Like, again, everybody feels like they're a fucking, and it's the, we couldn't get that

24:51guy, so we got that guy. And I understand that these guys exist in the universe. I'm not trying to say, but it's just like, it's just not a compelling thing of like, okay, what am I doing here? Like, back to the auto thing, like, Mr. Sinister I never believed was not going to be sinister in this game. Auto Octavius, I did think for a second they might swerve me. And then, and then when they didn't, and he became Doc, you're like, ah, man, that was great. And then it pays off even more when it's like, you knew, like, you knew this, like, because that was the holy shit. I didn't think you knew. Yeah. Mr. Sinister just mean a fucking bad guy. It's like, yeah, no shit. No, definitely. And then that, that's the thing is like, with all of the hints that, oh, there's a past of gene and Logan to some extent. And with Sinister being so involved in that point in the story, and we start here and stuff, it very much is like, all right, well Sinister is puppeteering this. Like he's way more involved than even we as the audience understands at this point. And then by the end of the game, you realize, yeah, the entire thing has been through the 30 years. He's been fucking with Wolverine's memories to make him think certain things happened

25:54in the past that didn't and kind of forcing him to relive killing Phoenix over and over and over, like breaking himself. There's something interesting there, but it gets so convoluted so quickly once they start actually like answering the questions. And then they introduce the apocalypse on top of it. Yeah. Yeah. Well, this is just like, they're, they're, they're, all right, apocalypse and Phoenix have obviously some type of past history going on. But I don't think that they did a good job like making that clear and it's clear sequel set up, right? Like, of course, I mean, literally the post credit scene of this being Sabre Tooth coming back from the dead, just like every character in this game does, um, a simulated death strike, but she always could at any point, um, going up to apocalypse and it's like, you know, the age of death is over and out time for the age of war. And it's like, all right, like, I don't know that we ever see that. We will never see that. And it's just like, it is, it's weird because it does. That's where I would have imagined they're setting up X-Men. But the, not post credits, but like kind of ending scene of, of Jean and Wolverine talking

27:01and then, um, what's your name, Calypso? Yeah. Uh, that whole set up, it's like, oh, this, T-Mex kind of just feels like the version of X-Men in this world, which I don't think is the, the right call. Like, I'm with you. I'm just like, you know, this group, but that's what you get when you do our telling stories about the early days of mutants. And it's like, this game is kind of the mutant outbreak. This is the launch bad. Yeah. This is the launch. Um, yeah, I'm a little all over the place now, but just like, I want to jump to this to cause it is something that I really love is the idea of dormant mutants. I love the scene where mystique realizes that there's so few of them out there. It's like, they, they see the like, almost serene thing of like, how many mutants are out there in the world? I'm like, dude, this is such a cool thing. And having a Walter, uh, just be like, I got a door that Jean and me like, I know I'm one of you. I'm one of you. It's like, that stuff is so interesting. But then I feel like the helix stuff so quickly becoming the McGuffin that finds them,

28:04uh, allows them to become mutants. And then sentinels being introduced as a thing that kills mutants, but then now are things that are easy for good. Use them for good. But it's humans. And I'm like, wow, we just jumped way too far way too fast. I feel like I feel like just sitting in the story of like dormant mutants, I think is so much more interesting than sentinel laser beams that are turning people, either kill them, or turn them into mutants that there were, but there's more dormant. But yeah, I don't know. Is this push and pull thing of like one of the things is we've seen people critiquing in lots of conversation about this game are our critiques and, you know, conversations included. It's just like, what is the game? What are we trying? What are we doing with this Wolverine game? Is it a big action blockbuster? Is it a launch pad for just a new IP? What I can't stop in even the conversations we're having and I know I already brought up a bit with the hand, but like if we could have just contracted this made it a bit more, it is Logan's story and we're with him through these things.

29:07And it's just not, it's what we're talking about the MCU movies, right? If not everything needs to be a world ending event. And I know this wasn't, but it was a world redefining event. It was, you know, Sentinels destroying things and when we come back from the dead, time has passed. How much time is Logan's trying to figure out, but like sticks to not a new identity and soup in a cave. Everybody's like, you know what I mean? It's like, like, can we have kept this a little smaller and a little more emotionally? You know what I mean? Like when you bring in someone like Troy and Liam, right? And like, let them act, let them do it. Let them have these conversations because I do think like when I think back to the X-Men movies, right? What do you, I mean, everything is something different to some degree. But I think of like Magneto and Charles, right? I think of, you know, Charles and Logan. I think about this character, I think of the movie Logan in general, right? Of like, let's give you a actual, hey, we are here feeling our feelings. It doesn't need to be Spider-Man web-slinging non-stop action, right? Whereas this one is, you walk into Japan and I'm expecting to be able to go to the top

30:08of these buildings and do all these different things. You can, these very specific places. Like, well, fucking don't do that. And give me boots on the ground Wolverine as we go through and do this. Don't give me so many monster closets of robot and into Terra part. And I do think another highlight to your point is those smaller, more character moments where we're in Magi-Pore and you go to Tiger's Bar and are able to kind of understand the relationship between Mystique and Tiger and get to no saber tooth and your past. Tour of Bar. You know, but like that walking and even Walter, it's just like, I liked that stuff. But that's the, you know, the PlayStation studios branded walk and talky stuff. Like, I really like it when it's done right. And I think that this was an example of it done right. I think there's a lot of examples of it in this game that aren't like I think that going around, SSX's mansion in the beginning is like, maybe one of the worst of them I've ever had to do where you're just kind of seeing like the memories of the mutants and stuff. I was like, I'm moving way too slow and this is not that interesting checking out everyone's version.

31:08But in Magi-Pore, I was like, this is that good stuff. Like this, this is what it reminds me of Utah about those moments. It's Bobby Drake freezing the. Make it the rear, you know, for Wolverine in next man one, I think it was like, yeah, it's those little things are like, oh, yeah, this is the world where there's a new school. And it's cool, man. Yeah. Do you have any beer? This is a school. No, I agree. I do a degree. Stick with me. I hit her miss one block. What you're talking about overall Magi-Pore bar. Yes, thumbs up. I did not like the Walter segment of getting the music and getting the things and they weren't real. I don't want to. But not standing. Yes. And it was the same thing of the Jean Grey and Mission where I'm patched and we're in the bar or the casino undercover playing those again, maybe long for man. I wish in Somniac it take him more time to slow this down the right way and have it be rather than just monster closet after monster closet thing to kill after thing to kill cutscene that with Essex fucking warping in and out just fucking be here.

32:12Don't be here. Why you in and out all the time? Like I would have rather had these character moments. These can't even the Jean Grey right before Leech gets killed right when they're in the cabin sharing the whiskey or whatever. Like I was like, I just don't think you guys have chemistry, but I appreciate just being humans and talking. I feel like some of it kind of pales in comparison to the other PlayStation studios that have done it just because of the, I don't know, quality, gravitas, whatever of it is. But I would have gone for more of that than what we got in this game. Again, like, you know, I'm watching my TikTok or I'm sorry, my Instagram Reels are filled with the people doing the thing right now of he's on the motorcycle and they take their hands off the controller and he just bumps into the wall and comes over here and bumps and it just drives itself. And it's like, that sucks. I understand that's just a really games man. I know, I know, but I would, I mean, like if we're going to, if you're trying to do it giant actiony moment, just making a cutscene, then making me drive around it, whatever, I'd rather just be the cutscene to do it and then give me the fun thing of talking to

In moments, I can see that I think that towards the end, the mythology of it all, like bringing in the apocalypse and how he gets with the I've been torturing you through time stuff. It's like yeah, it kind of gets there, but like leading into it, it doesn't feel that way. Like I'd say fairly run of the mill X men storytelling with Wolverine as the focus,

38:14something we've seen so many times before. But yeah, I don't think it like has the like self importance or gravitas that Zack Snyder movies do. And from the script perspective, at least. And when I look at the characters of Wolverine and saber tooth and mystique and I mean, almost everybody. Another thing to act the way you expect them to based on the characters that they are, like these are all kind of new takes, especially Jean, like this is a very, very, very, different gene that you like at it all. I mean, no, I don't like and I think a lot of that comes down to my and I've said this for ever with these insomniac games and I love insomniac games, specifically the Spider Man games, the looks of the characters. I don't dig and I there's something about it. It doesn't sit right with me and a lot of the art direction of the, I'm not telling even about their faces and stuff. I'm talking about like their outfits and their colors and the looks of it all.

39:15It's just, it's not my cup of tea. And I think that Wolverine and the supporting characters are one of the bigger examples of that so far. And I think Jean is a standout for me of that. I'm just like, I'm not interested in this gene as a character or this gene in how she's lightly representing the genes versions that I do know when we're at the party and she's wearing the Marvel girl inspired outfit. It takes me out of it a bit because it's like you've kind of alluded to this in the review and even today talk about it a bit about it. But they give reasons for why they're in the suits. But why these suits? These suits feel so X-Men. These suits feel so we are a united good guy team that like Wolverine wearing the bright yellow and even the entire team X team kind of having like hints of it. I have to ask why, you know, and then when when Marvel girl shows up or when she shows up looking like Marvel girls, like, that's a nod a wink wink, but it's distracting to me because it does remind me of what we're not getting.

40:18Yeah, I mean, I was going back to when we were getting ready for this and because there was a conversation where maybe we just recap the game like in review. That's how it's brushing up and I'm looking at screenshots on the, you know, the IG and walk through whatever of it. And it's just like, I think he looks so good in that stealth suit. And I think that's one of those things of that makes sense for what team X is. Nobody knows mutants exist. So we are dressing in black. We're secret agents. We're going in and doing these kind of things. And then Walter would be like, Hey, we've got a bright yellow suit with these weird wings on your face. Like, why would we do it that way? It's weird. It's very weird. I played that black suit all the way up until I got X-Force, which is the black. Suit in the game. I really like the insomnia. I call for in suit, but I just story. It pictures love. Yeah. When I was playing it, I was just like, this just doesn't fit story. War is for this character. And yeah, surfing Dracula. Yeah, we talked about the character of Logan and Wolverine and how like in this game, he's just a nice guy. Yeah. And it's again, it's a take. I think they commit to the take.

41:18It's like, they, I do think that there is an arc that he goes through. And I think that there are moments like specifically in Japan. There's a moment between him and Jean where it's him by being like, we got to save Walter. Like, we got to save him. Yeah. And she's presenting a counterpoint. I'm just like, no, we need the reason. Like, we need to do like this. I'm like, you know, it's the classic railroad thing of like, who do you save, right? Yeah. But like, I really thought that, oh, they built this Wolverine up. Not how I expected. No, what I quote unquote, want from Wolverine. Yeah. But the Wolverine they're building here. I'm like, I do you believe in this would believe in this character's motivations. It's just yeah, at the end of the day, I'm like, I don't know that that makes sense for a Wolverine. And yeah, then when you have the relationship that two of these have that they, there's no ifsands or butts about it, they are destined to love each other like over time throughout deaths like over and over and over. And it's like, well, okay. Like, cool. That is something that I didn't believe in.

42:18I don't think that they earned that. That past I think explains why Logan's the way he is. Why he is this guy? Like cares and all that stuff. He knows love because he knows love. Yeah. You know, like, again, they did that. That story was told. I just don't know if that story is satisfying. But here's my thing is like, they tell the story and I understand that we get there and stuff. And then at the end, he gets his mind wiped again by Essex, right? He gets his mind wiped again by Mr. Sister. And then he does the Gamora Guardians 3, like I, I still got to go find out about myself. I understand he's hit the reset button. He's a brand new person. I still don't, I, I just feel like this puppy dog, I got to save water. I feel like you'd be like, hey, sit down for our every life we've been together. We've done it. Why don't you just chill out? You're going to love me by the end of the week and what? And I really believe you'd be like, all right, Red. Yeah. I mean, that's how he's presented. He hasn't presented as again, a torture soul that's doing this.

43:19Yeah. So true. It's like when he walks in, I was like, I don't, okay. You know, sure. Yeah. And then let's get to work, she says, you know what I mean? Like, all right. Good, good on you, Khaled. Good on you, Gene. Yeah. Wait, I do. We will not see this. We will not see this go anyway. I don't think we will. Um, Kabab says I love Wolverine when doing guides. The reviews have been rough for me because I disagree with almost everything for and territory for me. Yeah. I mean, hey, clearly, like there's a dissension on this one, which like I'm not surprised by. I mean, when we were in the review cycle, I was just like, I can't wait to see what the general audience has to say. Yeah. It's going to be very interesting and interesting. It's been, you know, like, I think there's takes every which way and I'm like, I cool. I think that's the thing about it too, that I don't want to get lost in the sauce. At least how much I'm talking about. I wish it was more traditional, right? I love the idea of taking something and doing something different, but I want to see you take and do something different and do it well. And I just don't feel like any of the ideas they present here are fleshed out well enough

44:21to make me go, damn, I don't care that that's totally different, right? Like you, Snyder came up earlier, but like, as I've said many a time, right? The Zack Snyder DC EU that became the entire DC EU was never what I wanted from a DC cinematic universe, but I was down to see where it was going until it got to the WB's like these movies suck and I was like, it's about a movie and a half, but it doesn't matter, right? It's like cool. Go ahead and make it really weird and Superman doesn't save me. I was like, guess, but like let's do something interesting. Keep me engaged in like this game. Just never did that. Yeah. I mean, you bring that up. I would say like the story of this again, does it does not impress me? I do not love it. I said this interview. I don't recommend people go out and play this. I also don't recommend you don't play it. I don't, I, to me, it's like we're not, not reviews that we gave. We're not saying it's bad. We're also not saying it's good. We're saying it's okay. Fine. It's a be over. Cool. That's all of that does not mean like do not play this game, right? Yeah.

45:22And I think that there is a lot of enjoyment to be I enjoyed playing this game at many points. Like it's I just didn't love the game. I didn't love the game. I didn't love the story and I there's a lot of reasons why that we've been explaining, right? Whether it is story beats that didn't sit well with us, twist that didn't work for us, pacing that didn't work for us. It's like there's just a lot of that stuff and that the story and gameplay as well. I was thinking about the story of this and I think that overall it works. It's just similar to a what if episode to me that I'm like, all right, it's a variance. And the fun of it is finding out what's difference and how they all make it make sense. And if this is a universe in character, I want to see show up and other things. I and at the end of the day, it's that endpoint. It's not like I think of characters we did get from what if that I'm excited to see them pop up in other places when we get we've had a dozen Spider-Man cartoons. Yeah. I don't care about every Spider-Man. Sure. And I've watched most of those cartoons. There are standout ones that I'm like, I loved this version. I loved this version. And it's like this Wolverine as a character.

46:23I'm cool with. I think it was an interesting take. I don't need him to show up in Wolverine into the Wolverine verse. You know, I would not be clamoring for that. And it's because I just don't think that this game was strong enough to make me believe it in the way that I see Insomniac Spider-Man show up in into the Spider-Verse. And it's like, yes, yes, we know that. Peter and we love that Peter. So I think that it's a story that works. It doesn't blow my skirt up. And I think that the story is better than a handful of X-Men movie stories. You know, like I would go there. I wouldn't go as far as saying over half of them, but like I would have to think about it, right? I think it's somewhere in that pack. So I mean, it's one of those, you know, I was lowest on the scale with a 5.5 mediocre on ours. And I would recommend you don't play it. I wouldn't, you know what I mean? Like, and it's again, not bad. I just think that in the season we're in, we're littered with $70 games, all these different things. Like, I just don't think this is something you need to play in as we keep going. Like, oh, we're not going to see that followed up on like, I'm more worried about seeing

47:26Wolverine pop up in Spider-Man 3. Like you know what I mean? Like I'm just keep, keep all that over there. We don't need this. I don't think worked out. Let's not really bring it in. And maybe he'd be fine in a Punisher kind of situation where he's just in there doing his thing. And maybe that would make sense to see here I am in my red and blue spidey suit. And there's this bright yellow Wolverine who we're doing something. But again, it would also feel very not work because he's going to get introduced. Spider-Man is not going to know who he is and what's going on here and what are we doing? Like, I mean, it is crazy to just think about how much theorizing we've had over the last five years since this game has been announced of how much insomniac world are we going to get here, how much building an X-Men world are we going to get there. And the answer is, in any clear way, zero. There's a lot of Easter eggs. There's a daily bugle. There's like, yes, it is in the world. But it's like, oh, wow, they really put their foot down and we're like, no, we're going to tell us a singular story. It's going to be this. It's going to be its own thing. And I good on them, but I don't think that worked out. And so it's like, I think it was a very safe call that way if there's something like this happen, it's contained.

48:26Because I think what you get in Spider-Man 3 is probably the Green Goblin storyline, right to some degree or whatever. And I bet we do get a, as Peter is very talkative, you know, some kind of conversation of men, mutant rights protests really are pop. You know what I mean? There's like a daily bugle headline about mutants revealed or whatever. I don't think it's, yeah, I don't know. I do not know that much more. Aaron Lamson's a lot of people are treating reviews that this game is awful when it's just fine, but unfortunately, someone who was excited, I get the broader upset. I didn't want just fine out of insomniac context matters. Exactly. Me giving this game a 6.5 says a lot. It's not. It's not what we expected. And that's the long and short of it. Sylvester Hawkins says Greg or Tim, please give a full story and review recap style. Please, and thank you. Yeah, it's like, I mean, really, it's fairly simple. I, when I was looking at it, I was like, damn, that is crazy, right? Essex gets captured. Wolverine comes back to the, well, the 30 year thing we were talking about. Essex gets captured by trash, meaning Wolverine has to come back into the fray after three years out on his own.

49:27Saber to this pissed off about it because he loves his little brother, but he doesn't know how to say it because he's a big tough man. So they go and get him and he jumps out of the helicopter and then they fight their way there and they get him and they cut off his collar and then they get out of there for a second, but they don't omega red get some and then they fight omega red and then we get him out of there. We do the thing we go back to the Essex foundation. And again, fuck Saber to the stupid piece of shit. Like why are you tipping over fridges? You can't be that I know it's a stupid thing to be hung up on, but like for my entire life, Saber to the bad guy. And then we get here and it's like, he's acting like an asshole bad guy. Like, why would I, why would Essex keep him around? There's a million other people that could be strong. And I know there aren't there's actually a few mutants, but like whatever we got Wolverine, maybe we didn't bring this assholes because Saber to like pissing on pillows. You know what I mean? You know what I mean? I mean, why are we hanging out with this guy? Why is this guy getting there anyways? So we do that for a while and then yeah, from there, we get the call about Jean Gray. There's a thing going on. We're going to go after tracks. We go over there. He's got a group full of mutants. We open that fucking thing up.

50:28Guess what there it is. Then Jean Gray shows up and leaches there. If you know what I mean, it's bothered me. Deborah Wilson's there too, Kalisto. How much Deborah Wilson was caught from this game? You don't put her in there and have this little of Deborah Wilson, I feel. I digress. I mean, in terms of talking and doing things and I mean, she's a meadow waller. Put some respect on the name. I've fallen order and all that just. So we get him out of there. We bring everybody back to the Essex house. Yeah, we're all going to hang out here and Wolverine's like, it's pretty fucking crowded after he does a fucking Easter egg hunt to try to find leach. Wolverine. I should go to the superhero. I should go to the beach for Halloween. You know, I need to. Anyways, they go to the cabin. Then they drink some whiskey and then there's a thing. Oh, no, trash found it. He just fucking nukes this place, kills leach. Ah, I remember I had about it. So now we go after tracks again. This is where we fight the Sentinel eventually. This is where Trass thinks he's got it all at. He's like, oh, blah, blah, blah. And then fucking Essex shows up and just yank some front through the floor. The thing which was cool and brings him over and then starts breaking his arms and spin

51:29him around. Pause you just because there are a couple cool things out of that. It's like I was really into and it's a classic thing with the X-Men stories. But this X-Men not existing here yet. So we're not expecting heroes to come in and save the day. I liked the the setup of what Trass was doing of building the Sentinel's and early on you get into this place that's clearly like a test ground. Oh, yeah, all the dead bodies. Did a bunch of dead bodies and they're testing like how to identify mutants. How to kill mutants and how to inhibit them with these collars. Yeah. That shit's cool as hell. And I feel like it had a pretty sick setup to then get to this point where they leave it all that. When we were in that original thing and like the test facility and like we saw like, oh man, this guy got it off and let his ice powers out of the gas. Yeah. That's a good reference rather than a fucking card that says, oh, you want remilibou. What's the 30 year thing that you started with? So the it starts 30 years ago and it's Wolverine feral like out in a forest. And Trass comes up or not Trass. Sorry, Essex comes up to him with his British accent is like, I think I could hope you

52:33friend. Okay, I got it. But it turns out later Kevin that he put him in that state. Oh, no. Yeah. So all that happens then we get out of there. Yeah, this is where we go to MagiPoor. You get all the stuff you like. I like a lot of it too. Again, I just wanted more of this. The would you rather let's get to know each other. Let's have like personal connections to people other than like whatever. There's the great line earlier on where Misty's like, you missed my wedding. And I like, yeah, that's good. I like that. Like just the way great performance by Kelly Hugh as Tiger as well, which is fun. Do you know who she is? She's deadstrike from X2. Oh, okay. That is fun. I like and I like to. She did good. Yeah. I mean, it's always a little like goofy, but it's like whatever. It's just like you get to this reveal of like when she's Misty's like, I did all this for you. It's like, who would do this? Who would do this? The Gia to J. To do this. Like I'm going to kill a lot of people to save your life.

53:33You'll love that, right? Like nobody's going to be cool with that for the most part. We don't know what it's like to be a mutant. You don't. I don't, you know what I mean? Anyways, MagiPoor, then the Walter gets stolen by the hand. Wolverine chases him. He gets impaled. Yada yada. This is when they get away. Jean Grey's there with Wolverine. And it's like, okay, cool. We're going to Japan. This is where we get the cool plane sequence of flying there. We crashed the thing. We get in the hand. He's the Shimagami. We got him. Shining army. Yes. And then they run around in the fucking the helix engine, but it's just a casket. Who got that thing going on? Lady Deathstrike's there. I'm probably. Oh, yeah, we're here a long time. So a lot goes on. There's a lot of fighting a lot of people. A lot of reveals of like, all right, Walter's here and we're working with them. And it's like, oh, shit, it's like, well, Walter's dead set again. This damn helix thing. Now he just wants to be mutant. So bad. He doesn't know what he's going to turn into. I don't think he would. It's like Nick with his tall guy machine. He turns into the fucking Sasquatch.

54:35That was a liquid dude too. Yeah. You know, I do not want Nick's X gene to be activated. Oh my God. No, he'd be so hairy. You get fins. Uh, anyways, yeah, then we brought for a while. Like you said, we get into the hand facility, the, you know, their tomb or whatever. They got lava down there. They got the engine down there. We fight. We fight. We fight. We fight. We do the thing. Lady Deathstrike. We. Well, no, we almost we burn here. Yeah, we burn real good. We get burned real good, but we get out of it. Okay. Uh, and then that's done a lot of moments in this game of Wolverine, like, getting really fucked up because they're just like, oh, he heals. And they, from the jump they show that and a couple cool game played mechanics of that, like the, the last stand or whatever. Yeah, that is, that is cool. Um, but we get early, er, than this in the plot, but we get him kind of doing the Metal Gear Solid, Michael. Ah, yeah. And it's like, wow, we do this really early. And it just gameplay wise. I was like, I, I'm not feeling anything. Like, remember how we felt in Metal Gear Solid for the breaker and jump of the gun on this bit. And like, I think that I was very let down by that early on.

55:38And then they kept having more and more of those moments as the game went on that up to the ante a bit, like even with him burning and stuff. And I, I appreciate that they tried here, but I don't think that they, they hit it. I don't, I don't think that any of the moments made me feel and granted, which I'm one of my favorite video game story beats of all time with the Metal Gear stuff. Yeah. But I, I'm immediately comparing it to that. And I do think that a lot of the disappointment this game comes from direct comparisons. As I'm playing it, I'm thinking about something else that did the thing I'm doing or what is presenting to me better. We beat Lady Death Strike. Essex shows up, Sabertooth, we chop his arm off. We get pulled out by Jean Sabertooth gets shoved into the helix engine. The heel here becomes super psychotic or whatever. This is the, here we go. You know, Essex is bad. We go back to the, who's the guy who has a, he's got a high rise apartment. Yeah, this guy, there's this mutant. We all know really well. I love super stoked to see him.

And the sentals are there and there's sentals to take over the thing. And there's a big Sentinel. And that's sentals sends us. I'm just jumping at them. Sorry. They send it Wolverine to Wolverine Heaven slash hell where that's where we all have it revealed. Oh, yeah. We've been doing this forever and fucking going on. The Phoenix is, we've been following. Definitely the moment as this is happening. I'm like, are they fucking cooking? Are they fucking cook and they're not going to knock? No, no, no, no. I, when we started like going through the memories and going back to the cabins and stuff, I'm like, what, what are they doing here? This is so cool. And yeah, I, I did not like the reveal. I skipped my part. That's why I was I was like, what did I miss? I'm missing the Japan part, the patch. Oh, we talked so much about it. I skipped it in my head. I would come out of Wolverine Heaven. We have to, we're like underneath ground or shit and all that. So we got to heal up and then we come out. We're shirtless. Big deal. I tried to put on a different suit right away. They're like, no, no, you ought to stay shirtless here. I was like, oh, cool, cool. We go through and we fight the things apocalypse and talk to us.

58:41As you said, you know, we fight Sabre tooth one last time. He's got the glowing eyes. We throw him off the thing. I'm sure he's dead forever. We go over there. We then we got to go stop this guy. Everybody's getting shot. They're either becoming mutants or just becoming dust or whatever. That was cool. You know, Mystique, of course, pissed off. She's living to some guy and soup. Soup girl, we call her. She gets mad at Logan. She kicks him out. Then yeah, we catch up to red and then we go and have the, we go to, we go to fight Essex. I'm just going to jump there. He's fucking full out, Mr. Sinister now in the suit, jammed his head, everything else. And I'll say I do not like dark design. I don't like the costume design for a lot of the insomniac characters. And I want it clear. I love the main character Spider-Man suit Wolverine suit. Love. Yeah. No, no, it's my fucking love them. White spider. I fucking love it. Like I'm a huge fan. You take the mask off and I think we start getting a lot more problems. Just like the look kind of doesn't sit right with me, especially after the, the recast. But it is a lot of the side characters or enemies and stuff.

59:42Sometimes I'm like, oh, man, like I didn't like that take on the original insomniac versions. I love sedustures out here. I love the flowy cape thing with like all the cutouts. Like this is sick as hell. It just being straight up Troy Baker. But like white was a choice. I don't really get it. But like I also don't know that I don't like it. I think is. I so Troy Baker is just being white, Mr. Stinister. I'm fine with you know what I mean? Like I don't care. I think they're going for that realistic look, even though Wolverine's face isn't exactly Liam's. It's enough that I see Liam in. And I'm like, yeah, exactly whatever. It was just this. This, the criticism of this game has been in both our review and across the internet. Right? Is that it feels like a bygone era comic bookie game where things just happen to make them happen. And so to get to this final confrontation in Bustin, the suit looks dope. He looks cool this way, I think, but it's just such a.

1:00:43You've been in vests shirts and ties this entire game to be here right now. Like that. What the fuck just happened? What did I miss when I was in Wolverine, heaven? Why you were like to Mr. Sinister. It does just. It's forced. Like, yeah, it's like, it's I think storyline wise, it's earned. We understand that he's becoming that. But to take on this like super villainy look like that. It is. Like what? Very weird. Again, like Walter to be like, I made you a new suit. Hey, this one heals too or whatever. I don't have it. It's back to the point. I just feel like they're doing a lot of stuff in this game that just doesn't feel like it's at the benefit of the game. It's at the benefit of fanservice slash what we expect to a degree. And I would rather it than I'm fighting Mr. Sinister here in his suit. And I'm still in my sneaking suit slash my fucking leather jacket or whatever. And again, then it's I know we're into the surf Dracula thing, but it's like, whatever. Anyways, we beat that success. You know what I mean? But he gets the last laugh, right? Because we're using his powers against him, whatever.

1:01:44And then the thing goes, all right, I'm going to fuck you up one last time. And he does the Wolverine clause with his Essex purple powers and stabs him in the head and make him forget. Just like that. Adam adding embo it made him forget remember. Yeah, or maybe that's the pop what you want to keep going. Gotta keep that going. And so yeah, now Essex is dead. Hurray. Everything's fucked in Wolverine remembers nothing again. Jean, of course, now remembers everything. I miss the flip there where she suddenly remembered everything she got her powers unlocked or whatever. And Logan's like, listen, I know we've been doing this dance our whole life, but you know, that's not me. I got to go walk around find myself. And she's like, you know what? You go do that. I'll stay here with Deb and we'll figure this out together, right? Let's get a team together. And then we get the credits and it's all the fucking like mutants are here. And this is a thing. And there's another headline about mutants. And did you know mutants are mutants? I don't know what the fuck I'm going to remember. You know, no, no, no, fake news. I did like the, um, cabin, like the final Phoenix little wood. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

1:02:44And like it being like the last memory of this whole day. I'm like, that was cool. Yeah, that was cool. And then yeah, as you've already said, post credits is a apocalypse, talking to saber tooth or whatever. Yeah. I remember that was oscar Isaac. Mm hmm. Looking like I'm a news. Yeah. Indeed indeed it was. Yeah, it was. I really bring in the greatest hits of X-Men things to light here in the insomnia games universe. And so we got for super chats as well. Yeah, I mean, honestly, I, I think the reason that I do enjoy the game as much as I do, even though I have a lot of criticisms of it is that I love how it looks like playing like the game.

1:03:46It runs so well. I think that the gameplay is super fluid. The rock paper scissors gameplay simple, but effective. I think it kind of like gets it all across. It's just again, I think comparison makes it so hard where this is such a parry focused game and a high speed parry focused game where the whole point of it is them throwing hell enemies at you at all times. And they're all doing the different rock paper scissors simultaneously. So you need to kind of like get on it. Like I did the games. Got plays with Nick yesterday and like watching him try to wrap his mind around it. I mean, it was painful, but it's like, oh, okay, like seeing somebody struggle with it a little bit more. It's like, oh, okay, like this isn't. It's maybe so simple for me because I did just play on the show. Yeah, I'm conditioned now to like look for the tells your parry poppy. Like I'm I'm very poppy. I'm like a parry parry. You know what I mean? I'm the bird in the room with the poppy. And I'm watching it every once in a while. I can copy, but most of the time if you try to do it on demand, that parent ain't saying shit. Sure. Fair enough. Yeah.

1:04:47Yeah. I don't know what Nick is though. It's I don't know why I'm talking about him, but he'll be like, oh, it's back. Yeah. Even for him, you know, Mike asked him right before this. What did you guys yesterday? And he was like, ah, after James Bond, I was expecting you know, to mean that's that is where we are at. Yep. After Spider-Man three times after James Bond, after all these different things. Like you expect a certain caliber of game. And I do not think Wolverine lives up to that. Yeah. Rich Johnson, August says in 10 years, we'll all be discussing how great this one off story was because we'll never get a sequel. A video games will be canceled. I mean, yeah, that is interesting. I truly do not think that our thoughts on this game are going to change. Like I think that general publics are well, that's the thing is I, as we were in the review process, I was like, I think that people are going to like this. Yeah. And that right now seems to be the case. I think that there were in a dumb culture war right now where the voices are allowed voices are very loud in an and short direction. But I do think that a lot of it just comes down to people being like, it's not that bad.

1:05:48And it's like, well, no one was saying it's that bad. Yeah. And that's the problem. It's like the words people understand words. I don't care what they say. I'm having fun. But I really do though, like, you know, we sit here and we review things and we put a number on them and we back that number up with words. A lot of people in the general public don't do that. So I wonder when push comes a shove, if they were to look at the kind of funny review scale with the words next to a number, what would they end up giving it after beating this game? Like I, and what do they give other games? Because that's really what it all comes down to is everyone has their own opinions and thoughts on video games and how one hits you compared to another. And a lot of that just comes down to experience of what you've played and what you haven't played and what your expectations are. We've played in Somniet games. We played superhero games. We played a lot of great video games this year and Wolverine did not live up to that. Yeah. 100% I think you know, I think that's. The nuance is lost all the time in online conversation. Obviously, if you want it to be good or bad, that's all it is. Whereas this is a game that is mediocre for me.
