Markets Recover as Bitcoin Approaches $67K, Drift Hack Fallout Spreads Across DeFi, Circle Launches CIRBTC, Coinbase Secures Trust Approval and Unveils X402

We broke down all of the news in the crypto markets over the last 24 hours on a day when the majors bounced a little bit a little bit of a relief rally Bitcoin approaching 67 K again. ETH holding above K Solana right around that $80 mark talked about the fallout from the drift protocol half over 20 protocols have been pausing withdrawals or urging users to pull funds from drift related rules talked about circle announcing circles CIR BTC Bitcoin back token what that could mean for circle talked about coinbase with some big announcements you got the green light to charter a federally regulated crypto trust and they also unveiled the X402 foundation some big names involved is going to focus on the agenda payments across the internet and then we did a deep dive on some majors and some equities we were pretty much amazed by some of the equities we looked up tj max which had something like 13 consecutive years of green returns absolutely wild look at some other traditional equities trying to figure out how we can position ourselves to be into the next play that is going to go up like this great episode of the show hopefully you enjoy it. 2:25shop back in reverse it can get up to like 40 miles an hour of wind I'm also like I'm getting into the electronics aspect of it I haven't I haven't soldered in like 15 years and so yesterday I was literally soldering pins to a microphone I was like oh wow here we got it this is like back in shop class um but I actually soldered it pretty well so it's been really fun I'm going to have a good time how do you get you a little hot copper rod you get your little tool touch them together do a little uh-huh uh-huh stop your job wait so you have you're putting a microphone where in the drone interceptor uh so you can so it's it's listening mm-hmm acoustics that's why it's so cheap uh it's like an infrared camera it's like a hundred fifty dollars so that that takes your cost of an interceptor way up but if you can do it with acoustics you can take the price point down

3:29all right so you're doing usually it's like a bat essentially choosing sonar it's not using sonar in the sense like a bat is almost like kind of like radar right um all this is doing is like listening for the sound of the propeller and and now you're getting towards it nice I like that but the challenges you have to have the microphones be able to to disperse 55 miles an hour of wind that I can hear the drone that's what I'm working on right now yeah you got to remove the signal from the noise exactly oh man I love that I can't wait to see you this uh this interceptor when it's when it's finished yeah what's this method of of like take down is it just like throwing nets on stuff explosive yeah once it gets once it gets like within three meters it just explodes that's great whatever payload you want you could use you know steel ball bearings I of course

5:35and I'm learning like prototyping and with a 3d printer I can build pretty much any physical prototype and I think in a world of AI being able to build stuff in my hands it's gonna be very valuable yeah but enough about that bullshit I know we're here for crypto smoke toasty if you guys done any deep diving into bit tensor town at subnets like a year ago a year and a half ago when my buddy was telling me it's like his big play it's very confusing if I must say my eyes please over as soon as I hear subnets like I have to look at this chain and subnets I'm just like each subnet also like each subnet is like a modular thing it does one thing you know what I mean so it's like yeah this subnet does reverse cryptoography on AI agentic stuff it's like cool so it's like has anyone built something with the tensor that be the great question yes we use subnet to for 1932 and 39 to build this product

7:4720 protocols with many pausing withdrawals or urging users to pull funds from drift related pools on chain sleuths have linked North Korea linked to hack next up circle announced circuit btc the bitcoin back token the token will be back one-to-one with on-chain Bitcoin if you use cross chain for d5 applications that's pretty cool finally it was the busy day for coin bases they got the green light to charter a federally regulated trust for crypto custody they also unveiled the x402 foundation which will focus on directly embedding payments into websites to enable the commerce for AI agents that's it for your weather report back to you in the studio excellent weather report as always big names on this x402 foundation AWS american express based circle coinbase google mastercard microsoft polygon stripe visa so lots of players getting in here i think everyone sees a very big opportunity for agente commerce

8:51dude it makes complete sense to me if i can just say from my like i've been using claw code to help me like build this thing right so it's like telling me parts that i need right and literally basically it's giving me a bom um and saying like search this on amazon search this on amazon search this on amazon and then like buy the things right but sometimes you search this thing on amazon there's like slight variations in the components it'd be and it's just a time wasted you know it takes me like 30 minutes to buy all the things that needs me to buy when i'm essentially just copy pacing i'm like man i can't wait for this like for me to tell this thing like hey don't spend more than a hundred dollars go buy all these components for me and ship it to me you know the i think a i's very capable of doing a good job of that and it would save me time and it would save the potential of there being like slight mismatches on components and stuff like that if i'm manually picking them as opposed to the agent so i see a huge use case for this yeah absolutely

9:54i mean it and it not only for like technical projects like that but like i'm building like some planar boxes in my backyard for a garden i'm trying to replace um offense run with a gate and like a i's like telling me like what i could potentially do to get it and like give me some options but i'd love for it to be like hey look a i hear them here the dimensions i'm looking for for this planar box order everything from home depot i have a trip to my house and also get this gate i need to replace this fence post like line here and everything i need to install it and like having the ability to do that is just like excellent and i think that's where we're kind of going i think we're gonna see that within the next year i think totally building do you need any parts bill i mean now then i'll i'll ship them up to you there you go Benz Wong says good Friday working on a holiday today is not a federal holiday uh fun fact school holiday for my children though yes my uh my daughter is in daycare today um my wife is off though so she's taking a much needed break go for her from work and the kid

12:02pulling back, chopping and then selling off or as this this like this uh this last month we've hit the new high and now we're kind of chopping and he says you know there is danger to the downside um one saving grace being that during this initial fallback back in october uh stocks were basically ranging now stocks are fully in a decline if we do see a turnaround on the stock market maybe the dream for the upside but he's concerned that we do see this maybe same pattern on bitcoin play out and we do have like another rundown testing you know below the 60k area i'm looking to like make some leverage trades you may see a dump apparently that Iranian shot down an f-15 today and there's two pilots somewhere in Iran so odds of a ceasefire collapsing odds of ground forces in Iran are close to 80% by the end of the month because that that'll hit

13:05even if they like special forces come in and you know gets the pilots yeah it looks like there's a search and rescue mission going on right now um for the for the down pilots so this is um pretty interesting uh this broke about 18 minutes ago we look at pre-market features because yesterday um is it in the stock market close today yeah actually you're right not great um hey at least we got a hyperlick with yeah that's a good point um that's actually what i need to bring out uh pre-market down slightly yesterday we we basically recovered all of the all of the um the pre-market pulldown so looking over a hyperlick with on the daily um yesterday we whipped all the way down to um this is the xyz100 so these numbers aren't quite as familiar to me um

14:10whipped all the way down to 23k on this before recovering we're hanging basically steady now let's look at the five minute to see what's happened since that spike i mean i think yeah essentially new is broke and we've dropped a couple percent 2398 to 23950 on the s and p let's see here actually here we go s and p 500 you better one same chart but numbers that we're familiar with so 6560 right now um earlier this morning we wicked as high as 6590 on the daily d shape recovery from the low was that your printer in the background yeah i like that nice um couple green days in a row yesterday um finishing in the green despite a huge drawl down after trump's address um today slightly in the red i don't know it's hard i'll tell you what if

19:25shoots is uh it's the highest market s n 64 highest market cap but like what we need is we need like a one liner on this list like a one sentence tells it what it does you know i mean so like we can yeah just yeah i mean you know there's what targons doing actual enterprise confidence and compute workloads but like what's shoots doing shoots and ladders is there one called ladder yeah it's doing uh like laundry shoots like AI laundry shoots so like when you have to dump the old memories they go through the shoots and then uh they come back clean yeah dsi what do we think about near we bought some we lost a little money i mean it seems to be bottoming it just all depends any any of these all plays for the most part is going to depend on how crypto overall is is going to operate yeah i think right now like maybe maybe buy spot on good tokens um at this point i'm just dcaing bitcoin um i might dca hype starting at 30 bucks i still think we go lower before we get

20:30all time high so i i think you have time to accumulate um i'll remove good amount of these lines it's a little cleaner i do you think we retest 50k at some point on bitcoin and if that happens and you're levered long on any of these tokens you're going to be in trouble short term right most news the US economy added 178,000 jobs in march on employment rate fell 0.1 percent biggest monthly job addition since a year ago march 125 and that beat estimates too which is by 3x um so let's look at fed rates how many rate cuts is 0 being the favorite right now and this loads 34 percent you feel like this would lead to less cuts right good jobs less cuts yeah yeah problem that's looks like what happened here um 33 percent all the way up to 30 pull over 33 um odds for one rate cut drop from 27 to 25

21:38two or more health steady uh i'm seeing like a rate hike is in the picture too for this year 16 percent chance for a rate hike oh wow we wow i think there's no rate cut maybe there could be a rate hike this jump is high as 28 percent last week that'd be wild if they actually did a rate hike i cannot see that going over very well what you know it's wild kevin warships april now and his his confirmation hasn't even been sent to the senate yet really yeah what do you think about taking the know on him being confirmed it'd be wild confirmed by is a good market here may 1st 11 may 15 52 percent um so may 15th would be confirmed because there's no meeting in may april

22:38will be the last meeting for Powell right and then yeah i think of may 15th is when Powell's like term ends so i was pretty wild the markets only putting it at a 52 percent chance that like he's he's confirmed by the time drone Powell's appointment end and i may be wrong but i do remember asking chat ubt and they were like it i don't think it's ever happened you know what i mean that there's been like a lapse they've rushed it they've had it at least once it may have been Ben Bernacchi or or it may have even been drone Powell but like one of them they confirmed it on the actual day like on may 15th they got it through um so maybe there's a play here taking the yes on may 15th and then just the no on kevin warship general you could do that you could also just probably wait on may 15th and let it decay further like you know if you get to like may first you know and this thing's

23:40down at 15 percent you know and you think that they're just going to do political what they do in politics where they jam stuff through the last second they need to you know and you get like a nice five extra turn that's interesting too but you feel i feel like the the odds on kevin warship just to be confirmed at that point would be higher or it would be lower like if you take the no on will kevin warship be confirmed at all yeah like would that keep the can going into may 15 probably yes it probably the other way there yeah and it's so cheap too you know that you're not you're like buying a tail like at the very low end you know it's not like you're taking it at 97 you're taking it at three right maybe put this one in now wait for the second leg you risk like the the quick turnaround randomly yeah just don't put too much size on like the three percent probably but yeah yeah it could very well like come down to the ringer which would be hilarious

24:47but it has happened before so that's one thing i've been getting better at like with prediction markets is like understanding that you may like the yes on something but understanding that due to what's happening you could probably buy it even cheaper right so it's like why get it now it's a two x and it's technically potentially a risky two x in terms of risk risk risk reward why not just wait until like closer to the end of this month this thing could be a 20% now you're looking at a five x you know now you're now your risk returns looking really nice i like it i like it i like you're out your retweet from last night i just saw it on my twitter if you people are paying over 10 x floor price is that funny dude he was wearing a hoodie is that funny it's still true people are still playing it it's got a hoodie i mean i remember

26:55like sort of a prediction market with verifiable data sources so like resolution based on like trusted data sources yeah i i know there's other projects like working on that and i also know that like for example i think some poly market markets like the crypto markets resolve automatically based on api's i think i don't really think it's very interesting because you're able to just take away a potentially manipulatable resolution committee or whatever so i do really like that um i think it's easy to do it with things like sports right like like things where you have very like good strong data fees right so like who won this game you can do that via api pretty pretty well right um i guess the question would be like can can they get it to where it can and use you use api's or use a i or something like that uh for more like arbit are not arbitrary

28:01things if you know i'm saying like something that it's like you know is the straight-of-forma is closed right like i think that's way more challenging to just do via an api i know some other people are basically trying to do it with like a committee of a i agents right um but overall yes i think it's it's cool um to try to make prediction markets as arbitrary as possible when it comes to resolutions um i just think that that becomes trickier in the market your markets and then the market your markets are sometimes the more interesting ones um to trade but uh yeah i mean when you're looking like zoomed out and you're like oh that's a good market will they close a straight-of-forma as you're like perfect set it up and then like you don't realize until you get closer to it actually happening like what the closing actually means exactly like i rag on the the rules creators on prediction markets but like you can see how it's like very hard to do on certain things like just the straight-of-forma is being closed means zero ships is going there

29:04doesn't mean you know there's an 80 percent drop does it mean the media is saying is closed right like there's so many different ways you can skin the cat um right and you can come up with as many of those but the issue is you're going to have hundreds thousands tens of thousands of people looking to come up with little edge cases that potentially could you know change out results and it's really hard and i thought a lot of like the big prediction market traders actually make most of their money is like not exploiting in a negative sense but like exploiting rule this like the market thinks it resolves it goes to 99 percent and according to the rules you know there's a exploit and they buy it one percent they make a hundred acts right a lot of the top traders pnls are padded by those types of things versus just like you know straight straight betting um and not saying that's good or bad um but yeah it's it's I don't know like you know when you think about like trading stocks for example are like

30:08offense right that's just mathematical whether you made money or not right um there's kind of no no issue with that like you know you're never going to like buy an s mp call option and it goes up and you're in the money and they're like but wait you didn't read the rules you know what I mean so like prediction markets are very unique in like the sense of you kind of read the headline and you trade off the headline but the rules could have all sorts of weird stuff going on interesting do you have some like interesting stuff there yeah I mean this guy the guy is very smart I think they'll work on I think they'll build a very interesting product I think the tricky thing is like can you get actual users I sold this thing at six mil they're token we cross 20 mil briefly here I think I sold it I'm around here yeah another good buy the bottom in you know you need some good alpha sources

31:08or keep it on and take her and be like man it's all it all way back down to two million maybe that's a good maybe that's a good buy back in yeah there's a bunch there's a bunch of prediction markets in crypto right now and I think just like the biggest issue is like what are you doing that's going to attract users to you other than polymark and a calcium that's the hardest problem to solve for now can you trade this token and trade the narrative and make money on it like certainly I'm just talking about just like raw business at the end of the day which is you know the can you can you get the users which I think is tough unless you're kind of she'll in a air drop or you know dangling a carrot in front of them yeah I think I agree anything else you've been looking at on the prediction market side any Iran markets you didn't mention we did have a lot of movement on forces entering 80% almost by the end of April now cease fire yeah and cease cease fire dropped but now I'm taking I'm taking a little break

32:12over this weekend from trading prediction markets and and and looking at kind of refining my my strategy with them that like trading I ran markets have been really fun but I think one of the tricky things is with these like fast moving current event markets determining like where you have an edge versus the market and where where you don't and I think that's that's the tricky part like like meaning that like I think I'm like more profitable making a trade like we just talked about with Kevin Warsh right then I am trading like ground forces entering Iran right like do I truly have an edge on that versus the rest of the market probably not right so I'm trying to like take a step back and be like let me be like less focused on like that this is the big current events thing this is the highest volume market being traded which probably means it's close to the most

33:12efficient market being traded right and also you have like geopolitical traders that have been doing this for a very long time they're probably much better than me and instead kind of taking my time and looking for out out there kind of markets that aren't in the lens right like for example like one like interesting market is like insurrection act like we'll Trump use the insurrection act right and like no one's really talking about that or like looking at that market but I mean they they still have like by June 30th which is what April 8 three months from now Trump invoking the insurrection act which I think was like last done during the Rodney King riots by George Bush in like the early 2000s like this is a super rare thing to do right and it has political consequences especially like in this in this current state of affairs like you know like no over the next three months you know making like a 25% return is kind of interesting you know

34:17yeah it's not bad so yeah I'm kind of taking the weekend just chilling and then coming back with a with a new philosophy and approach where I'm like going to try to stay away I think a lot of people lose money on the this thing just happened you know this current event kind of thing and you have a lot of sharps focus on the market and I think it's harder at least for me to find like a big edge on those and I think I can find a bigger edge on the things like people aren't looking at like another example to be like Russia Ukraine war ending by 2027 I think you can get that for like 40 cents right now and we have what like eight months left of the year and I mean that war has been going on since 2022 like you know over the next eight months can these guys come to a come to a cease fire agreement right yeah it's it's down to a 30% and like the US isn't focusing on this anymore it's not their

35:20focus yes yeah but it's like yeah I mean are they really just going to keep fighting for another eight months I mean the market certainly thinks they thinks they can but like right now you're you're getting you know a four a four bagger with eight months to go interesting that one is interesting as well I was looking at some micro strategy yes now I want to take another peak and see what this looks like will they make a bitcoin purchase between March 31st and April 6th so they would announce this on Monday Monday isn't a national holiday today the stock markets are closed 87 seems pretty low I think they would make a purchase because they've at least earned some cash off stretch this month stretch or this week sorry stretch hit par a couple days ago let me pull it up so stretch hit par earlier this week Tuesday Wednesday

36:32Thursday had some volume at or above one dollar or a hundred dollars so that means that they were able to sell stretch at the market generally when they've been able to do that they are buying so I think that this 87% resolving on Monday isn't a bad swing will they announce greater wait a second will they announce a greater than one thousand dollar bitcoin purchase March 31st April 6th so this is a better odds than just them announcing a purchase at all it makes sense to you am I reading this right yeah will they announce the purchase at all they're the six but I think they usually like announce it like on the six on the Monday right also the it's the odds of them announcing greater than one thousand bitcoin purchases oh it's higher yeah it may be there may be a big spread on these yeah you're right 85% bid 96%

37:36that makes more sense this one's gonna be a tighter one okay so markets are pricing in greater than one thousand bitcoin there is an opportunity to put bids in on the purchase if you want to take like a stink bid at 86 cents potentially get somebody scared big spread here on this one or if you want to like buy and sell at the same time we'll see how this goes but yeah that that was an I just jumped out of me but yeah it's not as juicy 87 versus like 96 not not as juicy there I mean there was actually arb there at the awesome yeah not on the spread did you see a little random change of gear you see Nike stock now I saw I saw that somebody like wasn't it like Kramer tweeted that like it's time for like Nike stock to send yeah or somewhat maybe like I saw more that someone said we are watching major American breads brands die slowly and then
