Mark Lamarr Banned from Driving: A Hard Turn for the Entertainer

0:00On March 24th, former comedian Mark Lamar has been banned from driving for six months after pleading guilty to speeding. He was caught going 46 miles per hour and a 40-mile per hour zone in Twickenham, southwest London, around 6.30 in the morning, back in. June last year, Lamar argued he needed his car for daily life, including driving his young daughter around and visiting his mother who has arthritis. He also mentioned his own chronic fatigue syndrome, saying bad days leave him bedridden and make public transport impossible. The 59-year-old from Shizic already had nine points on his license from three earlier speeding tickets between late 2000, 23 and mid-2025. He explained the latest incident happened early with no traffic, so he lost track of his speed. At Willsden magistrates court on Tuesday, he got three more points, a total fine of 236 pounds, and the driving ban. The judge acknowledged some hardship, but ruled it did not qualify as exceptional.
