With more than forty-one years of pastoral experience, he hasserved churches in the Dallas area, Wisconsin, Canyon, and most recently, El Paso. Dr. Lowrie is the past president of the Baptist General Convention of Texas and is serving his third term on the Board of Trustees at Howard Payne University. He holds a B.A. from Baylor University, a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Divinity from Bethel University in St. Paul, MN.
