2:03I don't want no lunch. All I want is potato chips. Potato chips. How my mouth just drips potato chips. Today is National Potato Chip Day. 1853 at the Saratoga Inn in Saratoga Springs, New York. A customer in the restaurant kept sending back his potatoes saying they were thick and soggy. So the chef, George Crumb, he really got pissed off. So he sliced those potatoes as thin as he could and then he fried them as crisp as he could and then put a whole bunch of extra salt on them and sent them back out. Well, the guy absolutely loved him and the potato chip was born. Now the only bad thing about today is potato chips are one of the worst and most unhealthy foods that you could ever eat. So I guess we'll worry about that later and celebrate the potato chip today. All right, this is going on entertainment on March 14th. Let's back to 1961. No one album was called Cut Up by Lawrence Walk. Jimmy Checker had the number one song with Pony Time. It's Pony Time, get up!

Back when Boston was founded, the Puritans, they outlawed being a Quaker. See, the Quakers believe that God talked to everyone, not just the clergy, to the Puritans. That was just plain heresy. So if you were a Quaker in Boston,

4:12you could be branded with an AIDS for heretic, or you could have a hot iron bore a hole through your tongue. You could have your ears cut off, or you could simply be hung. Today in 1661, they hung the fourth Quaker, William Hedra. Yeah, now, word of his hanging actually made it all the way back to England. Yeah, King Charles, or yeah, King Charles, he heard about it. So he told the Puritans, he said, if they didn't start playing nice, he was going to come over and come down on him. Wow, that put a stop to all that. Now, there were four Quakers who were actually hung during that time. There's still no today as the Boston martyrs. There's some mind immense back there and everything for him. 1794, Eli Whitney invented the cotton gin. Now, it separated cotton from the seeds. Now, a person could clean around two pounds of cotton a day. The gin came in and it could clean almost 55 pounds a day. So that revolutionized the cotton industry, made it hugely profitable. United States went from exporting 500,000 pounds of cotton a year in 1793, 10 million pounds in 1810. But it came with a really bad downside. So a cotton was growing down south and to keep it from being possible, they really, really increased the slave

5:16labor. Say, yeah, you need not more pickers to go with all that demand. So yeah, God's slavery to spike in the United States. 1812, the United States started selling war bonds for the first time. It was to pay for the war of 1812. Now during that war, they actually called it the second war of independence. It was after the war was over. They called it the war of 1812. Did so love a million dollars in bonds. 1923, a US president, Warren G. Martin, he became the first US president to pay income taxes. New York City in 1931, they built the first movie theater where their projector was in the back of the theater. 1997, President Bill Clinton, he tripped injured his knee, really, really bad. He had to have surgery on it. Now, the incident still listed as classified. So no insurer if he was running from Hillary or an irate, doesn't

6:17was born on March the 14th. Albert Einstein is born in home Germany in 1879, the most physicist in all time. Now, even regular people like me, we know it's theory of relativity, e equals mc square, the most effusion, yeah, most famous equation of all time. You know, equals mc square, it means energy equals mass times the speed of light cube or squared. Einstein, he fled Germany for the United States in 1935 and settled in Princeton, New Jersey. No, I never worked at Princeton University. He just did his own thing over there. Married his first wife back in 1903 and they had a daughter and two sons divorced in 1919 in their divorce settlement and said that if Einstein ever won a Nobel Prize, she got the money. She got the money in 1922. Now, he married his cousin in 1919, just a few months after that divorces final cousin died in 1936. Albert died in 1955 from an abdominal aortic aneurysm 76 years old. Now, he refused all treatment or surgery and think, yeah, he said he was ready to go. Actors serve Michael Cain. He's 93, born in London, England

7:20in 1933. Now, when he was serving in the British Army and fighting in the Korean War, he caught malaria. They only sent him home and discharged him. So he went into acting. He's won two Oscars for hand-in-the-sisters and the Cider House rules nominated four other times for Oscars. He's been over 130 movies. Let's say some fairly recent ones that you probably know of. He was Alfred and three Batman movies. He was in. Now you see new movies. Journey into the mysterious island. Last movie was The Great Escape in 2023. He retired after that one. Michael had a daughter from his first wife and married his second wife in 1973 and they have a daughter. Quincy Jones, one of the most famous names in music history was born in Chicago in 1933. Record producer, songwriter, composer, record executive trumpet player. You name it, he did it. He was nominated for Grammys at record 80 times. He won 28 times. That's not the record. Beyoncé has a record of 32 but she wasn't nominated in her 80 times. Now, with all his success, he never learned how to drive a car. He gave a little bit normal. Now, he had a daughter from his first wife and he had a daughter from a fling and he had

8:21a daughter in a song from his second wife. His third wife was actress Pei Lipton. Now, there are two daughters of both actresses, Kadita and Rashida Jones. Now, after that divorce, Quincy said enough, he wouldn't get married again. I mean, he did have one more daughter. Quincy died in 2024 and 91 years old from Pinkriotic Cancer. So what's the glory in living? Doesn't anybody ever stay together anymore? And if love never lasts forever, tell me what's forever for? Country singer Michael Martin Murphy. He was born in Dallas, Texas, 1945. He started out as a folk singer. Then he started the band called Trinity River Boys. Now, one of the guys in the band was Michael Nismith. Then when Michael became a member of the monkeys, yeah, he brought Murphy along with him. So yes, Michael Martin Murphy, he did write some of the monkey songs. That did get him a record deal. 1975, he crossed over and added the huge number one pop

9:24charts on called Wildfire. Some of his country hits are what's forever for? Still taking chances, a long line of love. I'm going to miss you girl. Still performs a little bit. He has four times divorced and has a daughter and son from those marriages. Actor, comedian, Billy Crystal is 78. Billy was born a man at New York in 1948. First guy known on the sitcom Soap. Then his first movie was Rabbit Test. Then Running Scared. That was his best movie. Then throw mama from the train when Harry met Sally, the city slickers movies. He hosted the academy awards nine times and he won two Emmy awards for hosting the Academy Awards. Billy, he married his high school sweetheart in 1970 and they have two daughters. If you're wondering, Billy's nine time holds it in the Academy Awards. That's the second most. Bob Hope, he'll host it in the most. He'll

10:36be the best movie. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1950, Grapman, Green's Burrow, North Carolina. 76 years old today. In 1976, he's working as a DJ at a radio station at Memphis, Tennessee. He was just goofing around, recorded that song, Disco Duck. Went to number one, sold over six million copies. That made him nationally known. It is on late night TV show for a couple years. Rick's best known, though, for his syndicated radio show, RickDs.40kendown. Been doing this since 1983. He has still on over 200 radio stations. Rick married his second wife in 1978 and they have a son. Alexei Pasnetov, he is 71 also. He was born in Moscow, Soviet Union. Now he has caused a whole lot of people to waste a whole lot of time over the years, maybe the most of anybody. He created the game Tetris in 1984. Yeah, I've wasted a lot of time playing that too. Now he is working for the Soviet government. Now it wasn't his job. He was just wasting time goofing off when he came up with Tetris. He became popular over in the Soviet Union. One American named Hank Rogers actually

11:36heard about it. He went over to the Soviet Union. He was able to get the rights for the game. So he licensed those to Nintendo. So basically the game invented in the Soviet Union, discovered by an American. It was brought to the United States by a Japanese company. Now his hugeest Tetris was Alexei didn't get any money from it at all. So in 1991, he came to the United States. him and Rogers founded the Tetris Corporation. Now Alexei he's gotten paid. He's married and they have two sons. After his Grace Park, she was born in Los Angeles in 1974. She's 52. We moved to Canada when she was two years old. Got known on TV, first on Edgemont, then Battlestar Galactica, most known for playing Kona on the White Five Ocean. She was on a million little things for five years after that. Grace, she married in 2004 and they have a son. After Chris Pine, he was born in Hinsdale, Illinois in 1979. He's 47. He played Oz in the American Pie movies. Then after that, he's a sadist and son. We were soldiers, just friends. On TV, he played Cicada on Flash. Chris married in 2015 and they have a son and a daughter.

12:53Taylor Hansen is 43. He was born in Jinxacloma in 1983. It's a suburb with Tulsa. Now his older brother Isaac and younger brother Zach and him, they formed Hansen in 1992. They're actually seven Hansen kids. The other four I guess I'd have to buy tickets to the show. Taylor, he is their lead singer and plays keyboards. Some Hansen hits are, where's the love? I will come to you. Now they released new music still and they performed. Later on, they sure they're actually opening up for shine down. Now Taylor, he married in 2002 and they have seven kids, four boys and three girls. All right, air. Go to the day. Got some Stephen Hawking. He died today in 2018. He was 76 years old.
