Man Sentenced to 11 Years for Illegal Gun Possession

0:00A 46 year old Kansas City man just got hit with an 11 year federal prison sentence for illegally packing a semi-automatic pistol after a wild scene on a busy highway. Back on December 10th, 2023, cops rode up on Highway 71 near East 59th Street to a stranded silver infinity park. Dead still between lanes, engine humming, there was Daniel LeBlanc passed out cold in the driver's seat with that gun right on his lap. An officers try pulling him out, he snapped a wake, threw it in drive and peeled off, smashing through stop sticks. A chase kicked off, he had another set that blew his tires and they nabbed him near Maya Road. Turns out this wasn't his first rodeo court doc show nine prior felony convictions and at arrest he had a bag with nearly 40 outpers and lamb pills. Federal prosecutors made it clear, repeat offenders like this can't have firearms and now LeBlanc is locked up long term to keep streets safer. I'm Cory with the story.
