A 34-year-old man from Pell City in St. Clair County, Alabama just got hit with a hefty federal prison sentence for child sexual exploitation. Tyler Robert Curtis was ordered to serve 162 months behind bars that's more than 13 years plus 10 years of supervised. Release afterward, he also has to pay a $3,000 special assessment to help child pornography victims. Curtis pleaded guilty last September to distributing and possessing illegal images of minors. It all started when investigators got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Expoided Children after a messaging app flagged uploads from his account. They traced it to his home and seized his phone during a search, where forensics turned up the damaging evidence.
