On March 16, a 37-year-old man from Cheetle Home has been jailed for 28 months after being caught with illegal drugs and a weapon. Ben Skolfield was sentenced at Manchester Minstrel Street, Crown Court on March 12 for his role in supplying class A and B drugs. It all started back in 2024 when officers arrested him on an unrelated issue and seized his phone. Messages on the device linked him to drug dealing in the Congleton area. Skolfield had already admitted to being involved in the supply of those drugs and supposessing a weapon, setting the stage for further investigation. Then on January 26 of this year, police went to his home on high-bend avenue to arrest him again. They found white powder residue and a pink tablet in his pocket, while his rucksack held over 100 ecstasy tablets worth between 1000. 25 pounds and 250 pounds, plus cannabis valued at 210 to 335 pounds, along with drug gear,
and an electronic stun device. Officers are calling it a win against serious drug activity, stressing that they have dangerous items off the streets and will keep pushing hard on this front.
