Man Indicted in Double Shooting, Wife's Boyfriend Killed

A 41-year-old man from Trussville has been indicted on Capitol murder charges in a double shooting that killed his wife's 25-year-old. Boyfriend and left her critically wounded. The Jefferson County Grand Jury handed down the indictments on March 13th, making them public earlier this week. Charles Richard Bryant also faces attempted murder for shooting his wife. Police responded to a mobile home in the 700 block of Morgan Street in Leeds just before 1pm on Wednesday, December 18th, 24. The boyfriend died at the scene by 1pm, while Bryant's wife survived after treatment at UAB Hospital for life-threatening injuries. Authorities say the Capitol charge stems from Bryant kicking in the door during what they call a burglary. Bryant was arrested right there in a state in jail without bond ever since.
