His clothes got caught in the passenger front door as the car jacket sped off. Clementine Cunia has more. It was about 5.40pm when emergency services were called to a fruit shop after a bleeding man had stumbled in asking for help. The 43 year old had been assaulted by someone trying to steal his car as he left a local dog park off River Road. As the man fought off his attacker, police said his clothing became court on the vehicle. He was dragged for up to 800 metres before falling heavily on the roadway. Cameras capturing the chilling moment the man clings to the passenger side front door as the car speeds away. The vehicle last seen fleeing the area towards Camden. The terrifying incident shocking locals in Eldersley.

It's a dog park. People look at the dog. It's for any place. It's bizarre that it's happened there. It's terrible to see something like this happen. Paramedics took the man to hospital where he was treated for multiple lacerations. The injured man remains in a stable condition in Liverpool Hospital, a police appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
