On March 30, a 51-year-old Lithuanian man named Musslana's Kovakovas faces murder charges after the death of 49-year-old Rolandas. Kovateris, who suffered seven stab wounds to his neck and lower back, with a knife tip lodged in bone. In Lisbon Magistrate's court, Koval Kovas denied the killing, insisting he acted in self-defense during what he called a drunken dispute in there, shared flat. This got an emergency call from a roommate's daughter, and arrived to find Kovateris dead at the top of the stairs amid a large pool of blood, with no way. Signs of a broader struggle inside. Knives turned up near the sink and on the kitchen table, and detectives noted the victim had no defensive wounds, despite Koval Kovas claiming Kovateris. Came at him first while intoxicated. Bale got denied, and he's remanded in custody for a video court date on April 24, where jury will sort out self-defense from the frenzied attack.
