About this episode
Reigning Premier League Champions Arsenal are taking on FA Cup winners Manchester City in the Community Shield on Sunday, with both clubs having very different off-seasons, so Aaron Paul along with Clinton Morrison, Phil Brown and Dwight Gayle try and breakdown what’s gone on inside the two clubs.
For the first time in a decade Manchester City begin the season without Pep Guardiola at the helm - Enzo Maresca is the new man in the dugout, so the guys try to put themselves in Maresca’s shoes and try to gage how he will be feeling come Sunday.
For Arsenal they are the reigning champions for the first time in over 20 years…how will they cope with being the side everyone else is looking to beat?
And several clubs are in Europe for the first time, or back in European competition with Sunderland, Bournemouth and Manchester United on that list – so Aaron looks at their quieter summers in terms of incoming transfers.
And don’t forget there’s commentary on 5 live of the Community Shield from 3pm live from the Principality Stadium on Sunday.
