Man Charged with Theft of Underwear from Pool

0:00A 56-year-old guy named David Farrell just got hit with five theft charges under $5,000 each, all tied to swiping underwear from. The family change room at Powell River Recreation Complex. The alleged thefts went down on May 16, August 20, September 24, and 27, plus November 13, last year. It started last August when one swimmer reported their undergarments missing from a locker at the pool. The cops jumped on it quick, and by September, three more victims spoke up about the exact same thing, nothing but undies taken every time. Local RCMP called these incidents straight up disturbing and said they won't stand forward in the community. Staff Sergeant Lee Dyson noted it took serious detective work, but city staff at the complex pitched in big time to crack the case. Officers finally napped Farrell right outside the Rec Center on that last November date, with the stolen items on him. Officers were officially laid January 19. He's out free for now, but banned from the whole facility, with his next court stop March
