Man Charged with Murder in Wandsworth Burglary

0:00On March 24th, a 22-year-old man from Wandsworth has been charged with murder after a 46-year-old homeowner died from injuries in a bear, burglary attack. The victim, Miles Meijes, was assaulted at his home on February 12th and rushed to the hospital where he passed away eight days later on February 20th. Police initially treated it as an aggravated burglary, but launched a full murder probe in December once post-mortem results came back. A second suspect, 32-year-old Jamal Morgan Salish from Gravesend, faces the same murder charge after appearing in court back in late January. Both men are in custody awaiting their next hearing at the Old Bailey on April 9th, as the investigation continues into this tragic home invasion.
