It's March 30th, you're listening to Global News today, AI-powered coverage from around the world. I'm Corey with the story. A 49-year-old man from County, Donna Gaul just got charged with the murder of Dennis Donaldson that hit back 20 years ago in April 2, 2006. Antoine Duffy got extradited from Scotland and now right at the airport in Dublin before facing the special criminal court on Monday. Dennis Donaldson was a big name and sent fine back in the day, but he flipped as a double agent for British intelligence, spilling secrets for two. Decades before someone gunned him down in a remote Donna Gaul cottage. Duffy also faces charges for trying to murder another guy, Liam Copeland McGinley, back on November 19th, 2007, plus four counts, tied to illegal guns and ammo around those same times. He's locked up until April 13th now, and this case is stirring up old wounds from Ireland's troubled past, reminding us how those shadows still linger.
