It's March 25th. This is Canada News Today, powered by AI. I'm Cory with the story. York Regional Police have arrested a 29-year-old man from Asyawa in connection with a hit-and-run crash and mark him that seriously hurt A. 19-year-old woman last month. The incident happened on February 19th at the intersection of Denison Street and Featherstone Avenue where the woman was struck by a vehicle and carried on its hood before being found about 50 meters away. The victim remains in serious condition with life altering injuries, and police say the crash has deeply affected her and her family. Officers took the suspect into custody last Friday after searching three properties in the greater Toronto area where they seized the vehicle, involved along with the quantity of controlled substances. He now faces charges for dangerous driving, failing to stop after causing bodily harm and several counts of drug trafficking, and police warned that, anyone who helped hide or fix the car could face accessory charges too.

Investigators are still urging witnesses or those with dash cam footage to come forward as they wrap up the case.
