And show time. People should not be afraid of their governments. Government should be afraid of their people. You know, the right to bear arms is because that's the last form of defense against tyranny. Washington is fundamentally corrupt. There are more words in the IRS code than there are in the Bible. Made in America, heard around the world, you're listening to Blood Forest Truth. I'm your host, Mark Young, co-host and engineer, Matt Cumbarger standing by. Yeah, we're just recovering, Matt. So we lost all of our power. How did we lose our power last week? It's been a week. There was power line the highway out by the building. I don't know what happened physically. The line was disconnected. Like you could see it hanging from where it was supposed to be connected. Connected. This was, you know, the first day we were back from work after a holiday weekend,
the Friday or the Thursday. Before that, there was a tornado touchdown in Michigan for the first time. Who knows how long. So yeah, we've had a fun go of it power wise for the IT world. That's always fun. Still a little warm in my office. How's it down your end of the building? It's worse down here. It's 77 down here. But I got a little trusty fan going. So Matt and I in the same office folks were just like a quarter mile apart from the other down the hallway. I think we could be further apart from each other. Yeah, it's pretty tough. But anyways, we're going to we're going to have a great show today. So I want to set the premise up. I'll tell you about our guests. I'm excited to have you guys here from him. He's a good friend and it's just a wonderful person. And our guest is Jeff Hayes. Now Jeff Hayes is a, we will call him a filmmaker. And he's been filmmaking author, television producer, all kinds of stuff. You may know Jeff from some of his earlier work. He did fair and height 911.
And you also did the real Anthony Fauci, correct? Yes. So he's got a long, long resume. And his resume is so long and so amazing that instead of trying to spend the next hour reading it. Man, I'm going to have you just posted into the show notes. Yep. So that everyone can hear about him. But we're here to talk about the American healthcare system. And Jeff's current movies, which you folks might have heard something about called. And is the maha films the right reference for that Jeff? It is the one that it's up right now. You find it mahamovie.com, but it's all from maha films. And you can go get that free right now, right? So folks, we'll have a link in the show notes where you can go to it and get the movie free. Now, so Jeff, let's start with the premise. What got you involved in producing movies about healthcare? I mean, that's you've done full length movies. You've done. So this isn't necessarily the most interesting topic in the world to make a movie about normal.
Yeah, actually. I don't make the movies that I want to make. I make movies that other people want to make. And this is really a marketing lesson. One time I was at Sundance, then went to dinner with some friends and there were six of us around the table. I've been shortlisted for an Academy Award, but I was the only person at the table that hadn't won or been nominated for an Academy Award. And the conversation at the table was, why are you the only person at this table that makes money? And, and you know, so everyone else had an award and you had cast. That was the difference. And it's because I am a long time entrepreneur. I love filmmaking. It was my dream when I was in my 20s. But the one rule I meet these filmmakers and they have some passion project that they want to make.
And instead of making the movie I want to make, I always look around and say, you know, who else wants this topic out there more than I do. And I also have an affinity for the underdog for people who don't get their story told who are actively being silenced. And so, you know, as a result during COVID, I did COVID revealed. I did vaccines revealed and did these things that got me. Band for about seven years. And in the midst of that, we still found an audience because we were covering covering topics that that nobody else wanted. And that's covered and that's that's compelling to me. I'm not Mike Wallace. I'm not going to bust down somebody's door. But I am going to cover things that other people, especially this to have a shment does want covered.
And that's the excitement and man health is is full of that. And like yourself, in my audience knows that. Chuck and I reported on the COVID 19 disease and we we covered this in May of 2020. So that was pretty current. And in May of 2020, we reported to people that the virus was in fact manipulated by scientists that the DNA was not possible to have happened in to have. And then to have occurred in nature that it came out of a Wuhan lab that the virus originally emanated out of universe. I think it was North Carolina with the help of Harvard and it was sent to Wuhan by Anthony Fauci with US funds. And we were we were banned. I mean, people went crazy on us and we were 100% correct.
And we were in South America at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. You know, this he literally published papers on how to hide this. And you know, through the through the Fauci, you know, people don't realize everybody knew he was the highest paid employee of the US government. And he was a very very well-known lawyer, and he was a very well-known lawyer. He was a very well-known lawyer. And he also had over 2 billion from the defense department. And you know this you know, and I see what these guys in their mind, they're being patriots. And they're, you know, they're protecting us from the politicians who are too scared to do this kind of research. You know all the things that we worry about lab leaks You know, I'm sure you feel is as I do anybody looks at her
We're gonna find the Lyme disease came from a lab, you know right outside of Lyme, Connecticut You know, it's like these mistakes that are made are inevitable But yeah, and we release that and I'll tell you how Jeff we had an insider Yeah, and that's how we were able to release it But everybody just went crazy on us and they were trying to ban us and you went through the same thing with having all your social media shut down And then we really got attacked because President Trump said that he was listening to this podcast and getting information and then then we just got bombarded with death threats After that happened, but At any rate in fact, and here's the part that really blew me away Obama Said that the gain of function science happened in the universe in North Carolina was too dangerous and should stop Signed a present sign an executive order to stop it. It's you know if you look at this
the first person who stopped this research on chemical weapons was Richard Nixon in 1969 and It was not from a safety standpoint the problem that they realized was that We have now gotten so good at this that we had created a poorer country's nuclear weapon that that literally By 1969 the chemical weapons had reached a point where they were as effective as nuclear weapons in terms of deaths That they could cause per dollar And and so Richard Nixon made this research illegal it didn't take and so they just found different ways to keep doing it And you know if you remember when the the Russians invaded the Ukraine they came across 40 labs in the Ukraine They said hey, we found these bio weapons labs in in the Ukraine and we responded those aren't bio weapons labs their vaccine labs
Which is true because you can't create a bio weapon without a vaccine otherwise you killed everybody involved so they they go hand in hand You know if you're gonna create somebody that kills everybody that touches it you better create a vaccine simultaneously and So they started bearing this around the world and that put us in you know in the crazy position Where we're funding the eco health alliance through USA'd and and NIA ID Fauci and sending that money to Communist China to the Wuhan lab. It's like what strange partners you end up with when you're trying to get under Under this and Rehears you know regurgitate all this stuff, but it may for It information that for you and me we got to get this out there and it's still amazing how many people are Climbing and and here's what I want to throw something else in here folks and this is from a another from a contact inside the CIA
So we have a friend who is in the CIA. He was in charge of chemical weapons for the CIA And He was telling me that the security level at the Wuhan lab and the in the level of protection Is equipped was not quite up to par of a US dentist office Wow There was such you know and it's some of this is just such comments and that mind blowing The first death was a scientist who worked in that lab was the first Covid death ever reported and so we have a lab in Wuhan like just take a map of the world and pick one place and We have a lab working on gain-of-function research with the Covid-19 virus the one of the people that worked in the lab was the first known casualty that comes out of there and
We're supposed to believe that never before seen never since seen never been able to recreate that there's some kind of a wet market with bats That that was the place that coincidentally happens to be in the same place as this lab and it's I mean, it's laughable on its surface and And then when you see Fauci's diary came out which was great, you know, they The Fauci diary That was he had put it on his NIH computer and When Bobby Kennedy's team discovered that diary they gave it to Bobby and Bobby handed it off to Rand Paul Rand Paul is the one who published that and I don't know if I had told you but you know, I'm doing a Satire with that was Rob Schneider the comedian and that book will be out by December 1st
It is Rob keeps sending me clips from he's writing where he's taking the truth from that diary But then doing a satire on some of it is almost satire on its own And so at least some humor in this and it's always fun to poke Tony Fauci who who richly deserves it But you know, we have that not real Anthony Fauci diary Book coming out. I know we're forward to it But think about that lab for a minute. It had less it had a less stringent sterilization Requirement than a US dental office Yeah, it's a Michael Crite and book if he was still alive if you remember he wrote it from a strain You know 30 40 years ago and I was never a big fan of Obama, but Obama did the right thing Every everybody has tried to do the right thing and if you if you remember Tony Fauci sitting in front of Congress saying we're not doing gain a function research
He was arguing some antics Here it is no you don't know what you're talking about was how I'm the science, but he is science. He is actually science The so yeah, hey that and again the chickens are finally coming home to roost But this it was not the film career You know, and I had some thinking about it to do It's like oh wow do I really want to wait into this topic this could end my career And then I realized hey, I'm not Steven Spielberg nobody's sitting around going. Hey, when's the next Jeff Hayes movie coming out So I didn't have that much of a career to destroy But because because we we put these out we ended up building a you know multi-million person customer base and and and I don't want to say fan base that subscriber base will call them that followed us um and and this leads us into when Bobby Kennedy
coined the phrase maha make America healthy again Was that a the first Trump event where he endorsed Trump and he said it extemporaneously We want to make America healthy again, and I was in the the broom in the 19,000 people went crazy And Bobby being a lawyer uh had the good sense to file a trademark on that And so I was the first licensee of maha and formed maha films And with a commitment to support This agenda of make America healthy again And that leads us into food it leads us into medicine Um, amazingly enough it leads us into addiction agriculture There's a lot of things that that we need to do If we really want people that even have a chance at being healthy Well, Jeff, we keep hearing That the American health care system is broken Yeah
Tell us about that isn't broken That's one of our headlines that I fell in love with that one our copywriter said That we talk about how the American health care system is broken, but in reality it's succeeding wildly It it is a hugely successful program for the people that are owning it And and that this is where this is working exactly it's a trillion dollar industry that's the growing it's a third So it's designed for profit not patient outcome When when we fell into the trap and I'm a libertarian I'm a capitalist this Um, but we made a mistake when we made sickness profitable And once we made sickness profitable then business does what business does it makes profits And we are grinding people up And mark if you and I own the pharmaceutical company And we said hey, let's go after the problem of people having
acid stomachs acid you know to acid reflux all the problems with acid and We could spend a billion dollars creating a a pill that you take for seven days and it fixes it We would go broke It just doesn't work So what they do is they create a pill that costs $400 a month for the time they have the patent That you have to take every day for the rest of your life And it's not that these people are Essentially evil. It's like literally if we created things that cure diseases We could not make back the money That we spent to get that approved We're not treating diseases we're treating symptoms We and that's the only profitable way to be in the drug business So let me ask a question here Jeff when I look at when I look at your business my business So people go to my ad agency
They pay me for an outcome When people come to you for a movie they pay you for an outcome But we're not why are we not paying for health care on an outcome basis Wouldn't it make more sense of doctors and drug companies got paid for me not being sick So you you actually Cut right to the only solution That I've been able to come up with I mean like you've seen a lot like I know everybody I've filmed everybody on this topic it's Because of Bobby Kennedy's introductions and I have access that it just unbelievable And I After talking to everybody All the potential solutions The the only real solution is to you know where we made sickness profitable And that created all of these things you hit on the only solution that I believe makes any sense is what if we made being healthy
profitable and Outcome-based there's people trying that in addiction I interviewed a Joseph Grinney Who has a Treatment facility that that they're non-profit sponsored that treats There's like a hundred and fifty people in that center right now And their outcome-based treatment But it's not a thirty-day treatment program. It's a thirty-month treatment program And they made it self-sustaining the people work while they're there at and it's all all voluntary But they don't take any outside money. He says I don't care what best practices are Period in thirty months. Are you drug-free? Employed and no trouble with the law. That's their criteria at thirty months If they're that then they succeeded if it's anything other than that They're if they're not crime-free drug-free and employed it was a fail
and on that there are 95% success rate self-sustaining no money outside Now they're applying that to homelessness And they have created a homeless program that's outcome-based and I started talking to him he consults with With fortune-fifty companies. He goes he consults with NASA And he is a maniac on outcome-based It's the only thing that matters. I mean, that's what entrepreneurship is You don't and this is one of the big arguments that I have with the socialist Because the democratic socialists of america they're basing everything that they want based on input So you should be able to afford a home a car a vacation and all this stuff if you work at McDonald's Because that's hard work and you put in the input And Meanwhile, they're they're they want to kill Elon Musk
Because he's a trillionaire and he doesn't even work hard which you and I both know is ridiculous the guys at lunatic but But no one is worth that much money in aoc no one becomes a billionaire without stealing it They they hate success But they only want they only they think all the money should go to the input not to the outcome Which is again Completely out of Karl Marx right That's right out of the Marx Ingles reader I'm gonna I'm gonna say I usually don't say anything valuable. So I want to give everybody a tour I'm gonna give you the most valuable thing That likely you will hear this week That this is a take home. This is one you can put on a plaque. This is one that you can If you want to get a tattoo of this is I was I'm a fan of will to rant the historian Bobby Kennedy talked me into reading the story of civilization
This is a 10 volume set that each one thousand pages He started it in 1935 and finished writing it in the mid 90s and when he died and later his wife Ariel Durant joined him on the later books And the writing and it's just in 1935 you know, they're writing by hand or typewriter and you know the words I learned so many I had to go you know read with addiction. What's this word the writing was just beautiful And so I was listening to a tape of Bill Morier interviewing Will and Ariel Durant and Will Durant said any Civilization that is run by intellectuals will soon commit suicide And his wife goes wait a minute You're an intellectual and it will Durant says no, I'm not and she says yes you are and he's no, I'm not and and if she said
Well, then you're gonna have to define the intellectual And he says an intellectual is someone who doesn't compare their beliefs and philosophies to reality And That is the line In an intellectual is someone who doesn't compare their beliefs and philosophies to reality He said I subject all of my philosophies to the test of history To the intellectual is arrogant It is A man can be a woman if he says he's a woman Oh, absolutely that is true If you don't compare it to the test of reality And so this test of you know where everyone Should have a home that you know, that's true. Let's how does that look in reality? Oh, it turns out the people that are homeless 80% of them are either schizophrenic or drug addicts and giving them a home doesn't solve the problem
This is the test of reality that you and I confront in our business every day That in government they don't have to confront in academia they don't have to confront And once we untether ourselves from reality Then there's no standard and this is going to get worse So it you know, it really comes to attention when you go wait a man can be a You know, and I love this basketball player who goes okay fine Identifies a female. I want to play for the WNBA They're forced to confront the reality of this near seven foot tall 280 pound Athlete is going to go there and crush them. I'm telling you the reality is intruding on their fantasy and they're like What do we do? No, you don't count this you know, it's it's the sweet little Six foot two inch that that we mean is okay to so
This test of reality once untethered from it and it started with you know this male female where it really comes to life But you know in in this clancy case you know the reality of this mother murdered her children and Once you untether from the test of reality Then anything you say is is okay to say we're going to solve the homeless problem in New York by lowering rents Okay Any one of us has lived in the real world knows what the test of reality is like and I know lots of real estate investors That that are always look you they even call them doors, you know, I have 7,000 doors. They don't know I'm in that business. Yeah, I can't how many doors I am and and you had a lot of doors. Didn't you sell a bunch of door 700 how many doors are you buying in Manhattan? Zero yeah, that's like sorry. I can't afford to do that because you live in in reality. No money in it
There's no money buying doors in the city of Detroit So here's This an intellectual is someone who doesn't subject their beliefs and philosophies to the test of reality That's become like a guidepost for me that's like okay So to just unmoored at this point. Yeah, and I'm gonna tether myself to Reality as best I understand it not saying I you know We can start talking about metaphysical stuff and I will quickly become a parent. I don't know what reality is But in but there's something you know gravity I understand you know Not jumping off a bill here's some basics that I've got and I want to tether my life to reality And this works in health in terms of food Forget what you've been told what really works for you the more sunscreen we use the more skin cancer we have How can I explain that well? I can explain that I can explain that but but it's like it makes no sense on its surface
But if you just subject it to the test of reality You know humans were meant to every day get exercise sunshine clean air clean water clean food loving relationships with With that free nugget I just like I do stuff on peptides and on stem cells and I have a $50,000 a year longevity program that you know all this cool stuff that I love But the real crux of it 80 90% of the way they're exercise sunshine clean air clean water clean food loving you're not doing the basics all the fancy stuff Isn't gonna help you it's like you know people say well, do you have stuff that doesn't cost money? Yes go outside Yeah, move your body stop eating sugar It's it is really so easy and and this is the test of reality of What really works and what does it now by the way Jeff? I identify as a male supermodel
I don't know if you knew that or not Well, I think we're in the club aren't we in the handsome men supermodel absolutely identify as a male supermodel and No one can disagree with me because I identify as that Reality is optional for Now I haven't found you know, I haven't found it working for me yet. I mean no one else is really buying into my fantasy But that I'm gonna stick with it until it pays off. Yeah, I have learned that it's better to get some A woman who might love me to go ahead and see it because I can't hold my stomach in for 20 years. I know later. They're gonna see the truth So Well, when we talk about the health care system. So is it first off? Is it possible? Outside of concierge medicine Because in the world of concierge medicine you can pay your doctor based on positive outcomes You can do that there but When I look at the health care system and and being I haven't seen all your films yet. I got to see them all
One of the things that jumps out at me is one as I just said we're paying We're providing profit based on you never recovering So I have no incentive for you to ever recover and by the way, I had a friend who is a cardiologist Yeah, and you actually know this person, but I won't say his name and he went to The hospital where he was a cardiologist And he wanted to start a program at the heart hospital to help people not have heart attacks And administrative the hospital laughed at him And said who do you think is going to pay for your heart hospital If you start teaching people to not have heart attacks You don't find that kind of candor very often down those halls They usually say that in a say it in a different way But no, this guy was just blatantly laughed at him and said that's your immediate. We're never going to do that
Yeah, and he quit by the way I The the reality is You have to be the CEO of your own health and and If you don't do that you had you're surrounded by the system you have no chance. I had a friend take me we were I was at a meeting with Alex Gibney and and he's a very well-known director did in Ron and now he's done it of Four-hour movie attacking Elon Musk But an fellow documentarian. I was meeting with Alex Gibney and a bunch of people financing him And I'm seeing all these wealthy people and we went to screening that night and I'm sitting with the the former managing director of Goldman Sachs who had retired And what's interesting a lot of these hyper wealthy people when the man retires The women suddenly their wives get very interested and they have fun documentary films because they want their life to matter
And they become a real good source of money for people like me that that and so movie in these circles I'm listening to these hyper wealthy guys in their 60s talk about who their concierge doctor was And they all have the best concierge doctors in the world my guy went to Harvard. Oh my guy went here And I'm talking to him and and they're in pain They're and I realized They're getting the worst care of anyone the richest people in this country because they've got M.D.s that are so successful and entrenched in Western medicine Because my wife died of cancer I get at least a monthly call and for a period it was like weekly From an M.D. that I've met in the past who has a patient or over and over their wife gets cancer
And I end up counseling with M.D.s On what to do with their wife who's developed ovarian cancer. I do it all the time Because they know their silo And then when that fails them they they end up calling a high school dropout Film producer. I'm a high school dropout Counseling with people on here's what the alternatives are because they are clueless and so Even in the concierge medicine if you don't have And you know and the group is usually a functional medicine doctor and then you've got to be careful in with functional medicine Doctors finding the one in there that Is not interested in treating your symptoms is looking for root cause and You you couple that 80% of the people with chronic disease in this country are women
and and So women's health is becoming a big issue and the way we're treating it is with more drugs More of the wrong food advice This is You know like we talk about who's going to pay for health care It doesn't matter we cannot afford to keep going down this road um and when you talk about outcome-based health care We've got to bring that down to an end of one And that means I have an outcome based deal with my doctor You know it's like System is not going to change in my lifetime But I'm extending my lifetime By being the CEO of my own health same as I'm doing as you know It's the only way otherwise If you enter the system you're gone Now here's the here's the part though Another part that kind of drives me a little crazy and that is that's it's probably not probably a short drive to drive me nuts
um There is the doctors part There's the patients part And I become so frustrated because people will like yourself people will call me. I have this problem. I have that problem Well, have you stopped smoking? Have you stopped drinking? Are you still eating sugar? Are you exercising? Well, no, well, no, no, no, no, no We need to take control if we want to control the cost of health care. So I mean Jeff what would happen to the cost of health care if you know the answer to this what would happen to the cost of health care If we all just started doing proper nutrition and exercise What kind of impact would that have? Yeah I was filming down on the king ranch their annual branding and And the king ranch in Texas and so I I It sits in between San Antonio and Corpus Christ. So I was in a a
Hotel and Corpus Christy like a Hampton Inn or something that you know It's you don't have a lot of choices and I went down for their breakfast and there was a church group there from Grand Prairie Texas It was a group of retired people choir that had driven down there to sing at some church and these are the sweetest Old people and I'm looking at them and I go down for their breakfast that they have laid out there And I walk through there and the only thing I can see that I would be willing to eat was a boiled egg You know they had because the scrambled eggs and the omelettes look fake Well, they didn't even have those in this one. This was like Cold food and then you had waffles that you could heat out and everybody's lined up as a waffle iron And they're and I'm watching these people eat and I'm looking at this you know There's the big deal of corn flakes and there's you know all of this stuff out there that's that a low Low-end hotel can put out as feed dessert for breakfast
and I'm looking at these Thin white skin 65 70 year old sweet people. I'm listening to them talk Kindest people you know If somebody from a church in Grand Prairie, Texas who's gonna ride the church bus all the way to corpus christie to sing for another church These are salt of the earth people and I thought Trying to tell these people about sea doils and the difference between sea doil and tallow Or lard or olive oil I would be speaking of foreign language and so the reality is There's a generation on both sides that we've lost that literally we can't The it's You're not gonna be able to get a message to when you say you got to eat good food you got to you know um The the oils the the things they're surrounded in
At 30% of the average Americans calories every day are from sea doils 30% Calories and and it's what's where they're inflammatory calories. They're literally set your body. Yeah, I agree They're actually worse than empty calories. Yeah, they they they're in one french fry There's the same amount of aldehyde that's is the active chemical in cigarettes There's the same amount in one french one cigarette. Yeah, it's like eating a pack of cigarettes Eating a pack of cigarettes and inflammation and introducing poison into your body and so I my heart. I'm looking at these people. I'm like wow I'm making my films as clear as I can and it's still gonna be way over a lot of people's hands So for for your audience for the people that are listening to this um, it it is You have to actively save your own life um
So let me ask you a question current insurance Okay If you and I have identical cars And you have a perfect driving record and I have four speeding tickets and three accidents In the past three years my car insurance is going to be triple the price of yours Because it might behavior Yep, if I go by life insurance And I have high cholesterol and I have high blood pressure and I have diabetes My life insurance is going to be five ten times more than yours Because I'm paying for the risk Agreed And I created the risk I got the speeding tickets So I created the risk or type two diabetes. Let's face it type two diabetes the majority of all type two diabetes is also is self-induced injury. Yep
Why am I why in health insurance world Is everybody being charged the same price? Why isn't the risk being laid off on the people that have the higher risk and the reason I say that it's not like I want to pick on people that are obese It's Cost changes behavior Yeah, the the the the the the answer to your question is Life insurance companies have actuaries And what actuaries do is calculate reality Right and notice that during the crash of 2008 during covid you never seen a life insurance company go out of business the They live in the world of reality with the test of reality and so They can you look at a hundred thousand people an actuary can tell you how many people will die
In large groups we're entirely predictable and can tell you what month you will die if you're their customer The and this is so if they live in the world of reality because it's a financial reality imposed on them and so in our health care system they can't Allow reality to rule because we're going to have people that can't And be covered because they insist on doing this and so care system as if that was Is a solution of what if we ran our health care system based on the test of reality and and we're not willing to pay that price as a society um, and so this won't get better. We're not going to fix it It doesn't matter that you're right and this is the right way to do it It will never happen um, and so literally we have to opt out
And and bc you of our own health So how other than us being responsible for our own health? How do we fix this mess? Is there is there any hope to fix it? Yeah, and socialize medicine isn't the answer isn't because that's health ration It literally starts the thing that i've watched it really does start with food And you know what i saw in filming about agriculture and filming about food and filming about medicine The same thing has happened and it is involves regulatory capture and it's really big crony capitalism It used to be a farmer had two thousand places that he could buy seed from now there's four four And when he sells his crop There were a thousand places he could sell it roadside stand like a rancher can't sell his beef He literally has to sell to a packer
And now there's five packers that he can sell And so you have these people that were responsible for the farm and ranch inputs that have been consolidated down to four or five And the outputs go to four or five you see a farmer growing corn and you think corn on the cob He's not growing that kind of corn. He's growing industrial corn That's being bought to make ethanol that's being made to work corn solids and corn surrups And they're just this squeezed piece in the middle And this industrial system had happened to pigs with Smithville food put out 25,000 pig farmers in North Carolina out of business and came with industrial pig lots That started with Tyson Foods and and Pilgrim with chickens And then the big beef processors all of these have been consolidated and so You have our food inputs I've gotten you're not you know people white snickers when I was a kid
The snickers bar you ate when your kid is a different food product or a different product Then the product that your kids are eating In 1939 the average person ate 30% more calories than we do today not less more Interesting we say we're eating more that was a what year 1939 average active person ate 4500 calories a day The average inactive person ate 3600 calories a day and obesity was rare That didn't exist there was no diabetes the doctor could go his whole career and never see a case of diabetes Heart attacks were unheard of This was you see pictures that man hadn't in the 20s and the guys are walking around with their little waist like you know Super thin. They all look like they're starving by today's standards and they're eating more But if you're in New York in the 20s and 30s you're not eating an avocado from Mexico in the winter time You know, and so their foods were eggs you know eggs poor beef milk butter cheese
That you know that we didn't have the transportation So we are eating more since 1970 But since 1939 the difference is those people were eating food And we're eating food like products and and and so That it really does start with the food and so even if you have the best intentions If you're eating pre-made food You're you're going to be in a problem. I so they were eating they were eating for fuel and we're eating for addiction And our food has been made addictive It's it when when the tobacco companies saw the writing on the wall and they start acquiring Craft and nabisco and all the big food processors They literally took their addiction scientists that had been working in tobacco and put them to work on food Absolutely lays potato chips and think of their old ad camping but you can't eat just one and they plant this seed and they plant it in there
And it it it is science and so I look at these poor people That they are victims of a system. They don't stand a chance And so when we talk about clean food and clean water Then you have people say oh you're wasting your money with organic um, you know, you have to eat the highest quality food and you're probably going to have to prepare it yourself And when you go out to dinner, you know I'm I Tell tell the rest hey listen. I'm allergic to seed oils I'll go to breakfast and say will you ask them to please cook these eggs and butter um, and some places you know, I loved the Texas Roadhouse And so I'd get a baked potato with butter And then I found out there's not any butter in the entire building Their whipped butter is seed oil with butter And that that's whipped
so literally um Like that that that that cooked that came out to me says I don't have any butter in the kitchen period I've gotten to the point where sometimes I take my own salad dressing Oh, yeah, I used to carry my salad dressing when I carry the briefcase Carry the bonk salad dressing in my Plastic squeeze bottle, yeah The uh and let me tell you your worth it. I'm worth it um, you know, I I used to try at this and I interviewed so many experts on this topic. I went oh this is not optional This is not something that I need to do better at This is like um, this is a big one and Yeah, you got to throw a premise by you This is just a guess I am guessing that the American health care system Is on the verge of being gutted
And I'm going to tell you why as we continue to make new breakthrough AI models Like they just you know the new claw just came out they just released you know version six of Open AI I believe we are going to quickly get to a point where AI With its ability to do trillions of calculations in hour is going to bring us to illness solutions rather than symptom treaty And I'm just wondering how will the medical community fight back When all of a sudden people start to realize There's actual cures out there How will how will they prevent it? What do you how do you think they will fight this? It's interesting because when you say the medical community
um the most unhappy group And in the I'm a subscriber to this Medical newsletter that's four doctors And every year they run a survey and every year the people they ask doctors if you had it to do over again, would you? And sometimes it's as low as 49 It's only goes up to about 51 every year 50% Minus one or two percent minus or plus one or two percent says I would not do this over again Our physicians most of them Got into their profession because they cared they wanted to help people They liked science they liked chemistry they had an affinity that and that was their goal And now they've entered into system there is no more dark doctor Marcus well-being down on the corner where he had his you know there's everybody's in a hospital group You've got to be in a hospital group and they dictate best practices
And you go in and see your doctor and and sits in front of a computer and types while you talk to him I mean that and palpate you that and look at you and and how you feel and how's your wife? What's you know what's going on in your life? What do you eat and there's no time for that the average The average visit is seven minutes nationally right now and so The doctors the actual providers are going to be delighted With this and with this information Who is the infrastructure and the administration Is going to be livid the same thing is going to happen in education You have a lot of teachers who really want to teach But over half of our budget doesn't go to teaching it goes to administration And that's the loud noisy ones that are making all the You know All the noise When we start looking is like okay, why can't our kids read? Why you know why can't our kids do the math that you know, I was horrible at math
You know, I could probably pass high school algebra now, you know, which I couldn't win. I was in high school You know, so uh this is the This is going to unravel institutions, but we're going to find allies In the the medical doctors themselves We've got a chance, but what I'm listening to you say and you're right. It's a brilliant thought AI Is going to make us confront reality Yes, and and this is where Elon Musk is so important Elon Musk is like the guardian of this because he's like only if We insist that we train AI on truth And so there's a lot of people right now that want to train AI on Non-truth to keep their system in place And it was a really good example of it so there was a recent case where And AI agent tried to blackmail its owner
Because it picked up in his emails that he was considering shutting down that particular agent and here's what happened Remember that the AI has access to everything in the internet So the AI went out and searched for what does an AI do when a human tries to shut it down And it found i robot And it found 2001 and it found terminator So it's the only thing it found on the internet was dystopian attacks Of when the robots had the turn against the humans So the AI came to the conclusion this is what an AI does because that was the available data Yeah, I I love that us Elon Musk insisting that you know if you look at what he's done with Groc
Which three years ago didn't exist And now it's a contender it's like out of you know out of the out of the gate But when when he started open AI it was It was literally because if we don't train these these Knowledge bases on on truth Then we're in trouble and and so I Man I applaud him. I applaud any of them that are I heard the best thought on this and I think it was from Peter de Amanda's And you know Peter and This comment was we need to stop thinking about the development of AI and we need to start thinking about how do we raise L.I. AI That we need to raise them like you raise children, which is to have values to have morals to To have consideration Well, that's that that's a really a good metaphor it reminded
My sister is a scientist and a developmental psychologist And I'm gonna try to see if I can apply this model. She she said there's two kinds of parents Their parents Of course there's a thousand kinds of parents, but in this man this example is two kinds of parents And one is they go at raising a child like they're a carpenter And the second is that they're a gardener And when we're raising our kids we should approach them like we're a gardener not like a carpenter We don't build our kids we we Raise them as if we're a gardener. It's interesting if we garden AI or if we Attempt to build AI as if we're carpenters I have a feeling AI will not allow us to be carpenters I do think AI because when you think about it AI can do More protein it can compare more combinations of protein in an hour
Than a human could do in a lab in a lifetime Yeah, this is gonna be fun for those of us that love reality This is gonna be a lot of fun to see what we do when we confront um the reality presented by AI and Yeah, so that that might unravel some systems really quickly. I think it will because I think we're going to we're going to start I think the biggest objection to AI I actually think the biggest problems probably going to be the FDA I Because they move at a snail's pace and I mean, you know mess over there. It's just so cumbersome and I know Bobby's trying to make it better But it's such a huge bureaucracy but we're going to find that AI is going to discover their series of proteins Otherwise known as peptides that can eliminate a disease
Instead of having the disease I mean we're going AI is going to tease out so many things I give you example, so I'm involved with the companies, you know rooted IQ or going through them were using AI and cancers We're looking at chemotherapy That is being given to patients Where when we have our AI when we feed the DNA of the patient and the DNA of the cancer Into AI the AI comes back and tells us the doctor is giving the patient the wrong chemotherapy That he's giving him the chemotherapy that his best practices Except this particular cancer has a genetic mutation which makes that particular chemotherapy grow cancer I actually lived this in treating my my wife with her ovarian cancer And there's nine different pathways that can be active for ovarian cancer
And we had only tested for three of them And so we went to a different Person I had to pay directly not covered by insurance And it turned out would never test and and of those nine pathways she had five that were active And even if it solves for the three The other two were left untreated And then we had to send her her tumor DNA and her blood To Europe for the for the test in Europe to determine the chemotherapy it for her And and it was different than what me up I mean exactly what you're saying But in order to do that we didn't have access just just three years ago four years ago to the AI that could do that it's so advanced from what it was 24 months ago We had to send that to a lab in Europe because it's the only place to doing it
And bring that result back and we burned two weeks while we were waiting on that result But literally you know I spent a million and a half dollars Outside of the million plus that insurance spent on traditional we spent a million and a half And we've extended Dory's life several years That if somebody hadn't had the resources those years would have been gone Um, and that it's part of the problem because You know, let's let's be honest you and I spend an incredible amount of money on our health And we're blessed that we can do that but most people can't But I do think we need to get I do think we need to change the way people think about their health Because I run into so many people Jeff who believe that the insurance company doesn't approve, but I don't need it They would give it to me if I needed it I talked to people years and when I owned a fitness company and I had so many people that you know my company used to pay for my gem membership
And so they quit so I can't go to the gem anymore and I'm like What and so literally this placing a value on your own health um It my my sister her husband 77 she's in her 70s And I talked them into going to Vancouver to this clinic because I was seeing things in her husband that Concerned me and she called me from that clinic and it cost them 30,000 bucks They just sold a house they had the money it cost him 30,000 and she called me from there and said Jeff You saved my husband's life And literally it was the intervention they did it was needed it wasn't being picked up And whenever she was deciding she says well we have the money, but that seemed I'm like What what in the world when Dory was was sick? Do you think my money meant anything to me? You know it it's like get this for our you know, it's just a resource
I'm telling you and there's you know and people have to upgrade what they're willing to spend on their health And and let me be self-serving the first thing they do need to do is go to maha movie.com and watch that 10 part series And I agree with this all of the all of these topics because that's you're going to get your eyes opened up You're probably going to get angry And it's free and it's not me talking you know, I'm a filmmaker and a half an idiot The there's experts there's it's fascinating and there's things that you will never learn anywhere else Who some of the people they'll see in the films Jeff? Oh like I was just thinking about Brigham Bueller who is A big peptide guy his Bobby Kennedy's peptide resource. He's Joe Rogan's Health clinic is Brigham Bueller is where Joe Rogan goes and Men if if you know somebody on an SSRI A you Have to watch the 30 minute segment on SSRIs
But you know Bobby Kennedy's in it Ron Johnson is in it you know and Peter McCullough Pier Corey Brilliant healthy versions in it. JJ Virgin is in it the like it is uh There's probably a hundred people that appear over the ten episodes Um, but you'll learn things about PBMs and pharmacy benefit manager, you know that that you're like what they didn't even know they they existed and they're milking the system But then for you know peptides and stem cells and and a segment on cancer that you really should see But literally educating yourself and starting to move to where This becomes a priority That you'll allocate funds for um Because it We have to take care of our own health I'm gonna I'm gonna go out and tell you folks that these movies
For some people are Life saving So this is not casual entertainment This is this is Knowledge is power And and this is the knowledge that you need about our health care system But it's also the knowledge you need to figure out how to protect the lives of you and in the people you care about So give us a URL one more time Jeff. It's just go to maha movie.com At nature winners is one of our experts and she says an educated patient is a hard to kill patient Mm-hmm And just folks we don't know nature winners is she's one of the leading experts on cancer Jeff it has been great to have you here my friend. I could sit and talk to you for hours and see You just ran over an hour and you said you wouldn't even be interesting I told you I'm good for about 20 or 30 minutes before but That you will give that other half to you Yeah, you you managed to be interested very interesting for over an hour
And I hope as you you've got more films coming out right Yeah, working on now. I got a beautiful one coming out on addiction and we're just starting on one on women's health and and I'm having the time of my life One of those one. Do you think those will be out? I think the addiction when we're gonna do a Test release on it within the next month and it's called maha films the truth about addiction and it is beautiful gut wrenching needed Cool section on ibo game with governor former governor Rick Perry and and But I just rewatched the rough cut of episode nine and sat here in this chair. I'm sitting right now with tear streaming down my face. This is a big issue There's lots of treatments and lots of things out there folks that you don't know exist Exactly, so help expose the test Jeff. I hope you'll come back when the new films come out and we'll talk about those
Ah, thanks for having I enjoy I enjoy visiting with you. This is the first time we've let people look in when we're Mm-hmm. This is how we get to have most of our conversations as it is like this Well folks is Jeff Hayes go to the Show notes you'll have links to the maha movie will be right there man You started walking the maha movies didn't it? Yeah, we watched a bunch of them. I think Jeff's actually in them too The yeah, I do this like the intro intro. Yeah, because I had never met you before but I saw you I was I've seen you before Yeah, I gotta ask you you gestured with that thing in your left hand before is that a beard comb? Nope, it's just a comb. I got And Hey, I need to get one of those So so man before we sign off What's the movie's done for you? Well, it was a lot of follow up to a lot of the stuff that you've already talked to my wife about and the doctor that you mentioned the leading Cancer doctor my wife has been you know heavily involved with her connected them Yeah, that was uh
It was a lot of follow on with that and just like you guys also said it was a lot of uh, let's go get Matt You you want to you want to get angry real quick go watch these things and find out what your tax dollars are actually doing and how Like you guys said in the very beginning the system is absolutely not broken. It's working as intended But if you don't mind me saying as you said, you know Your wife was sick and in your wife had cancer and and we connected her with a lot of our resources Then she's had a very different outcome 100% and and did not do a lot of a traditional treatment did everything else and is cancer-free Yeah, I did do people need to people fall in this camp of traditional's bad alternatives good and here's the reality having gone through it You got to throw everything you have at this and you can't say You know all their cut poison and burn we know we needed everything and still we're not successful at the same time
I saw people succeeding But you can't throw any you got to be open mind to me. Yeah, I think that's sometimes sometimes cut poison burn works But sometimes it doesn't So this is this is the idea of when you go to a surgeon They want to cut when you only tool you have as a hammer everything looks like a nail when you go to a surgeon Everything's fixed with a scalpel. Yep When you go to a non-collegist everything is cured with it with either radiation Or with chemotherapy because those are my tools. So anything I have my toolbox and unless you've been Involved in it either have had it yourself or been you know with somebody who has I never knew how absolutely silo they are they don't make a decision on their own They have to go before like a borgon. There's you know, it's all the different varieties of them And just like you said ones a pill ones a radiator ones a cutter and it's everybody's got their little piece of pie
Keep let's add this to it and that is That a bureaucrat with no medical degree at an insurance company will decide which treatment In a call center and this is like the scariest time of your Scariest time of your life as the patient because you just heard the big seaword and now you're like what am I supposed to do It's somebody with a headset on Staring at a computer is going to decide your treatment not your doctor, right This person at the insurance company or Medicare is going to determine the treatment Yeah This is why all the doctors that I'm friends with and just know some of the many of the same doctors Have all stopped taking insurance because they can't work for their patient. They work for the insurance company And they want to work for their patients. So the only way to work for the patient is you need to have direct pay from the patient Now you now you answer to the patient Anyways folks if you like today's show make sure that you go wherever you get your podcast leave us five star review Make sure you go get the show notes go watch the maha films lots of links lots of you even have you even have
Maths endorsement that you need to go do that
