Maeve Pilates Bruntsfield Studio Closes, New Leith Location Stays Open

This spot, which opened in 2023 as the brand's first in the area, has been a big hit with locals. The closure stems from a major issue in the main studio space found back in early January, leaving it unusable with repairs moving way too slowly. On top of that, high operating costs are hitting hard, especially with business rates jumping nearly 50% this April. Founder, Ciara, Gilla, shared that it was a tough call, especially since Brunsfield was her first venture into writing a physical business. She highlighted the strong community built there and how much everyone loved the classes. The good news is, May's other spot are Maritime Street in Leif, stays open and unaffected. Meanwhile, the business is pushing forward with expansion plans, opening a new studio this spring in Finton Barnes near Galen and Northburg again, East Lofian.
