MAESTRO FILIPINO 25 0412 | Kuwerdas Filipinas: Diwang (interview)

The country's first symphonic rondalla, Kuwerdas Filipinas, and an international roster of eight composers meet on the uncharted frontier of literature newly written for the pioneering ensemble: A concert series, 𝐷𝑖𝑤𝑎𝑛𝑔: 𝑀𝑢𝑠𝑖𝑘𝑎 𝑛𝑔 𝑅𝑜𝑛𝑑𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑎, 𝑀𝑢𝑠𝑖𝑘𝑎 𝑛𝑔 𝑃𝑎𝑔𝑘𝑎𝑘𝑎𝑖𝑠𝑎, recently marked the 20th anniversary of the Strings of Unity, the rondalla and plucked string festival out of which Kuwerdas Filipinas members were drawn. 

Joining DZFE's Tiffany on MAESTRO FILIPINO, members who have been part since the ensemble's inception in 2018 — Fides Topico (octavina), Jezreel Lastra (laud), and Brian Uy (double bass) — share the thrill of playing in the elite ensemble and exploring the possibilities of new and often experimental literature.
