Soprano Andrea Manuel entered Guildhall in 2019. With her studies coming to a close, she organized the recital, Harana, to celebrate her years in London and the people who supported her—and, of course, to perform Filipino music. MAESTRO FILIPINO (Sat 1200, Sun 00, Thu 2000) features excerpts from that event, as well as Manuel’s conversation with DZFE’s Daniel. She shares her experiences in the English capital, the importance of community—especially for an international music student—and her reasons for sharing her music in a foreign land.
