Luther and Subjugation to God

3You shall have no other gods before Me.a

4You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in the heavens above, on the earth below, or in the waters beneath. 5You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on their children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,6but showing loving devotion to a thousand generationsb of those who love Me and keep My commandments. Exodus 20:3-6

If any earthly institution or custom conflicts with God's will, it is your Christian duty to oppose it. You must never allow the transitory, evanescent demands of man-made institutions to take precedence over the eternal demands of the Almighty God. -Martin Luther 

You must mentally prepare yourself to be betrayed by institutions of which you have loved and trusted.

For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. Matthew 24:24 

The prophets prophesy falsely, And the priests rule on their own authority; And My people love it so! But what will you do at the end of it? Jeremiah 5:31

When the State endorses and encourages sin: covetousness, adultery, murder of the most innocent among us, they bear false witness without ceasing, they steal that to which they are not entitled unendingly,  

Warrior’s Prayer

Lord, I come before you seeking the strength and skill to overcome my enemies. Grant me I pray, the wisdom to recognize evil, the courage to confront it, and the strength to destroy it. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
