00This is an iHeart podcast. Guaranteed Human You know what I can really go for right now? Literally anything that comes in a McDonald's carton, wrapper, or bag, or a McDonald's cup. Yes, any of those items you do it. We've got your cravings covered. Now, stop in for the flaky filet of fish. The crispy snack wrap or a large fries for just $2.99. Limited time only, price and participation may vary. Cannot be combined with any other offer. Broadcasting live from the Abraham Lincoln Radial Studio. The George Washington Broadcast Center. Yeah, Armstrong and Joe Getty. I'm strong and getty. And now he is Armstrong and Getty. 18-year-old hurling a homemade bomb,
02another team then hands him a second device. He ignites it, sprints down a sidewalk, hops a police barricade, and is tackled, while the device is still smoking. But they say 18-year-old Amir Balad and 19-year-old Ibrahim Kiyumi told investigators they were inspired by ISIS. The FBI says one of the teams watched ISIS propaganda videos on his phone, and the other told them he wanted to carry out an attack bigger than the Boston Marathon bombing and lamented that attack caused only three deaths. The devices were made from mason jars, nuts and bolts. One of them tested positive for the highly volatile substance, T-A-T-P, used in attacks around the world. So if they trained with ISIS at all, I wonder why they were so bad at making their bombs. I'm glad they were. We're... I'd be harder than it looks, I don't know. We're complaining earlier about the coverage on this, where if you just are not, like if really up on the story, you'd be led to believe that anti-Mahmedani people through the bombs. Yeah, we're heading directly toward that point.
02The twin really, well, there are three sickening aspects of this. Number one, we have hardcore Islamists operating in the United States. One of them is in Gracie Manchin, he's the mayor of New York, perhaps you've heard of him. And the movement toward the Islamization of Western societies is really reaching a critical point both in... Well, in the US and Britain, in Australian number of places. And that's number one. Number two, the mayor's statement about this is bizarre and unacceptable. And three, as Jack points out, the media has been willfully, intentionally trying to mislead you. For instance, well, I tell you, let's just lay it out like this. So you got the two men trying to unleash homemade bombs. And they were inspired by ISIS screaming aloha Akbar. But you'd never know any of that from the mayor's statements or much of the mainstream media's coverage, credit to ABC for when it was finally impossible to avoid going ahead and saying that.
05Well, yeah, it wasn't clear over the weekend from all your alphabet newscasts. I had to listen to one of them, CBS or ABC, a couple of times, because I just was kind of listening. And to catch the counter protests, what does that mean? Oh, the pro-Islam people showed up to try to kill the peacefully protesting anti-Islam people. Now, I probably don't agree with that leader, right wing leader guy on a whole lot of stuff whose anti-Islam, but he was peacefully protesting. Right, if you were reading either the mayor's statement or the mainstream media, you would assume that the bombs were placed by white supremacists. Not only did the failed attack expose mayor Mamdani and many of his sympathizers in the press is apologists for Islamists. It showed how hard they will work to hide the truth when it's inconvenient to the world view, according to the free press now. And we've already described what happened. Then they threw the bombs, the police commissioner, Jessica Tish, said the bomb is in fact an improvised explosive device
08that could have cost serious injury or death. We want to over that. You can hear the Alua Akbar. Here is Mamdani's statement. I'm going to read it to you verbatim. Yesterday, white supremacist Jake Lang organized a protest outside Gracie Mansion rooted in bigotry and racism. Such hate has no place in New York City. It is in a front to our city's values and the unity that defines who we are. Wow, so that's his lead. There was a demonstration by bigots and we hate that sort of thing. Those guys were just standing around waving placards. There's a handful of them. There was nothing until the Islamist bomb truckers arrived. Anyway, he goes on. What followed was even more disturbing. Even more disturbing. Really, the bomb with the intention to kill a whole bunch of people is more disturbing than the peaceful protest. Yeah, I would say, but listen to this jump. It's as if somebody ripped out the guts of this statement.
10What followed was even more disturbing. Violence at a protest is never acceptable. The attempt to use an explosive vice and hurt others is not only criminal. It's reprehensible and an antithesis of what we are. I want to think the cops in the NYPD blah, blah, blah. So he leaps from what followed was even more to what followed Mr. Mayor? What? And who? And for what cause? And he left all of it out. As a free press rights, the omissions are remarkable instead of denouncing a terrorist attack on the police service city. Mamdani referred to the violence as if it were the weather. No reference to the suspects. No use of the word terrorism. No mention of Islamism. While the evidence suggests motivated the nearly catastrophic attack, it's unbelievable. And he's joined by the press in that effort. When politicians refuse to see what is right in front of them, does the media step in and set them straight? I got to stop right there. The idea that politicians don't understand what's happening.
11Right. That's not true. They know precisely what's happening. They just think it would hurt the narrative or hurt their cause to say so. We were. Go ahead. NBC. Multiple arrests made after suspicious devices found outside Gracie Mansion during anti-Islam rally and protest. Suspicious devices found. And during anti-Islam rally and counter protest, no mention of radicalized Muslim screaming al-Wahq bar and throwing bombs. ABC police arrested several people after a smoke generating suspicious device was thrown during a protest at Gracie Mansion. Well, that's really downplaying a bomb. Yeah. Yeah. Zoran Mamdani is an Islamist. He's an Islamist and sympathetic toward socialism and communism. That's absolutely undeniable. Let's see. We can skip that because we've gone over it. Then I just wanted to throw this in real quickly.
11And I guarantee you have not heard this, right? I doubt it if you have. All right. Get that pop up off my screen. This is from one of your big local papers in New York City. The NYPD had to make arrests and broke up a rowdy protest at a Manhattan vigil for the Ayatollah comedy Friday night in Washington Square Park. Very famous beautiful park. Flyer circulated online Friday, advertising the event as a vigil for the Supreme Leader after he was killed. Groups build the event as a memorial for comedy and all martyrs of American imperialism. And of course they spelled American with a K because that scary and cool among your radical crowd these days. All right. But it was a couple of hundred people gathered underneath the Washington Square arch shortly after 615 demonstrators waived Iranian flags inside a blocked off area counter protestors gathered around the group waving American Israeli flags yelling communism is dead, which is interesting.
13Multiple yelling matches between people, but you had a couple of people, couple of hundred people rather demonstrating against comedy being killed. They are hardcore Islamists demonstrating against the US in the US. And it's interesting from a free speech perspective. They get to do that. But I remember reading hell. It was probably in high school, never mind college, that one of the few exceptions to freedom, the first amendment protections is you can't advocate the violent overthrow the United States government or the Constitution. And these people absolutely are in their way. And so I'm not calling for them to be arrested. I just want I want people to be aware because you'll never get this through the media or the politicians. We are at a near crisis point in the English speaking world in particular, but also France and Germany to some extent too increasingly. We're at a near crisis point with Islam trying to assert itself into our societies, the very, very short version of it. When they're like is a percent or two of your population that's Muslim, they don't assert themselves very much.
17It's part of a well-known strategy. Once they get a little bit of criticism, co-mass, they assert themselves much more forcefully and much more forcefully make demands. Watch it and see and be warned it's happening right now. So back to the ISIS bomb checker dudes, we talked about this earlier CNN's version of the story is, oh my God, right? Two Pennsylvania teenagers crossed into New York City Saturday morning for what could have been a normal day enjoying the city during abnormally warm weather. But unless then an hour their lives would be drastically changed as a pair would be arrested for throwing homemade bombs during an anti-Muslim protest outside of the mayor's home. Charles, you could conceivably write that lead if it turns out they didn't do it. And we're just walking down the street innocently. Right. Yes. Like it was something that happened to them. They were hoping to get tickets to Hamilton and all of a sudden they're under arrest. Charles CW Cook of the National Review Writing. Whenever the topic is something the media doesn't like, journalists all become creative writing professors.
22The press has done everything possible to obfuscate the facts of this story and it's done so deliberately. How about 19 Middle Eastern tourists crossed a New York City Tuesday morning for what could have been a normal day enjoying the city during abnormally sunny weather? Well, you know, in 2001. Uh, that is absolutely amazing. Yeah. As opposed to the first sentence being a couple of ISIS-trained assassins showed up in front of the mayor's office the other day. Because as they said to the investigators, helpfully, you know, spill in their gut, uh, saying because Islam had been insulted. They came to kill and to maim. And the press is actively trying to cover that up. That's troubling. But, you know, the liberals of all the countries I mentioned are terrified of admitting that the great multi-cultural rampant immigration from the Muslim world thing is a bad idea. They despise telling the truth about it.
23And so they don't. That is something. Sure glad those bombs didn't go off. Yeah, no kidding. No kidding. Uh, although I tell you what, people have got to get a wake up call somehow or other. I don't know how. Uh, on a much lighter note because everything is lighter note to a word from our friends at Rough Greens. Here's the idea. It supplements your dog's food. It's not a new food. Police say 35-year-old Ivana Ortiz from Florida opened fire with an AR-15 style assault rifle. And fled. Police spotted the suspect's car from the air. They tracked it to a nearby shopping mall where they took Ortiz into custody. Bookter on attempted murder and set bail at more than $10 million. The nine-time Grammy winner in business mobile was home at the time of the shooting. Ivana Ortiz was booked for domestic violence in Florida in 2023. More recently, she sought an injunction to block a Billy Ilish concert in Orlando. Before the shooting, a woman who appears to be Ortiz shared bizarre posts on social media about several celebrities, including Rihanna. So is this person in a celebrity obsessed nut job? Is that what that is? Katie? Yeah. It's like a good enough conclusion to me, yeah.
30Yeah, the chick has issues. Big time. Okay. All chicks have issues. No offense. Ah, watch it. Yeah, apparently this chick was claiming that Rihanna was stealing from her and was jealous of her and was a writ, which with the devil's face. Oh, oh, you hate to have that. Yeah, you hate it. He met your new girlfriend. She seems really sweet, but she strikes me as a witch with the devil's face. Dude, hey. Well, okay. So it turns out it's a celebrity thing. It's about her being a singer because I kept hearing this referred to as a pop star. She is a billionaire business person and someone tried to shoot her and kill her. So I thought, shouldn't this get some attention? You know, the United Health Care guy got gunned down in the street or I feel like if it was somebody you'd never heard of who runs a company you've never heard of. If somebody had just been arrested for attempted murder on this billionaire, we'd be treating it like maybe a story like what's going on there.
33Yeah. But because there's a pop star in its celebrity, celebrity whack a doodle. Yes, Katie. Yeah, I'm sensing undi- or untreated schizophrenia here. Okay. She tagged her in a Facebook post that said, Rihanna, are you there? Because I was, geez. Because I was waiting for your AIDS five-head self to say something to me directly instead of sneaking around like you're talking to me where I'm not at. So you want to be famous? And then she got in her Tesla and fired off 10 shots at Rihanna's house. I've sprinkled the world with insults throughout my life, but I've never gone with you AIDS five-head. Yeah. That's a new, that's a new singer. Okay. So back to the scumbag ISIS members who threw bombs at a rally in New York over the weekend.
35So there is an update on this story. CNN has retracted pulled off their website, their flowery story about two teenagers going into New York on a beautiful day. So that's kind of interesting. They got such a backlash on that. And we've mentioned it twice today. It's despicable. And they said this link has been, he's gone. CNN put out a post regarding the two individuals arrested for throwing homemade bombs outside of New York City. Mayors home failed to reflect the gravity of the incident. Thereby breaching the editorial standards required what we require for all are reporting it is therefore been deleted. CNN said. Yeah. Yeah. Who wrote that story and why I would like to know that. Yeah. No kidding. Here's another kind of tangential question for you. I've seen these two young men referred to as self radicalized, like in virtually every single story.
35So they watched ISIS videos online got hot to trot travel to the Middle East and got trained up by ISIS. It would appear both of them made multiple travel stops throughout the Middle East in the very places you'd go to meet with ISIS guys and get trained trained up poorly by ISIS. So were they just weren't good at it or it's harder than it looks. Yeah. But what does self radicalized mean? If I decide I want to become a United States Marine and I go and tell the recruiter I want to do this and I go to boot camp. Have I been self militarized or what does self radicalized even mean? It wasn't some stranger. It came up to him. Stay journey. You want to see some pictures of martyrdom? Doesn't everybody self whatever the hell they are at some point? Do they use the term self radicalized to make it seem as though they're not part of a worldwide movement? A significant movement. I don't know. I mean, you could look at it that way or you could look at it as I think I did after 9-11.
40The philosophy was so appealing to people that just being aware of it could turn them into murderous scumbags. Yeah. Yeah. I think part of the situation here is I'm looking at the mainstream media using that term over and over again and that has got to be useful to them in their effort to soften it. Yeah. Because Islam is the religion of peace. No, it's not. It means submission, not peace. I can see it both ways because it's pretty horrifying that that ideology has enough appeal that some people just reading about it online on their own decide. You know what? I'm going to do that. This is whatever the conclusion of discussion worth having. Yeah, I'd say. We got more on the way if you missed the segment of the podcast. I'm strong. You get it on the band. I'm strong and get it. Honey. Sorry, I was dreaming about a new kitchen. But let's do it. Renify lets us borrow based on our home's value after renovations. Up to $750,000. And we get to keep our low mortgage rate. New bathroom? Yes.
40Finished basement? Yes. Girl's trip to Tuscany. Oh, Renify doesn't do that. Is it Renify.com to receive a text to see if you qualify for up to $750,000 to renovate your home with Renify? That sounds like a damn car problem. What the actual ****? I stopped after a second warning.
41I stopped it. Hey, if it's not a free speech America. What's your background? And I know that extra is my feeling. Thank you for recording me. I played a video for 30 seconds. Thank you. Thank you officer. Alright, that drove me crazy. I don't know what that was, but it drove me nuts. Drunk, blinking, moron, woman playing videos. On a plane. No headphones. No, nothing. She was told twice to stop it. Drunk, it sounds like moron in the airlines are cracking down on it and said, alright, you got to get off and they sent the cops to drag her off. And cops are so gentle these days because everybody's, you know, videotaping everything. Took them a while to get her off the plane. What was she saying? What was she saying? Oh gosh, there's a lot of lines there. I thought this is free speech America. I'm expressing my feelings because of free speech. Congress can pass no laws.
42You get to play your video loud on an airplane. I'm not, I don't get the leap there. Yeah. I'm not sure. Justice Scalia is going to buy that one. Sweetheart. Katie, you speak woman. Well, no, I mean, you guys basically translated it. She stopped after second warning. They need to have a woman around at all times to just choke slam women like this because it's so handy because men can't. Yeah, just bring in a female cop that's ready to whoop and that call it. You know, I'm anti violence on, you know, illegal. Most frutality by the police. On the other hand, how long do you and everybody else in the situation officer have to stand there listening to her spouting off when you've ordered her to get up and move multiple times. There is a cost to that to allowing that defiance.
44Now, that does not mean that if somebody's a little mouthy, you get to put the night stick to them and put them in a coma. Of course not. Oh, I'm not, I'm not saying that. And the chick doesn't even have to be a cop, just a chick with immunity on standby that can, you know, get her by her hair, drag her off the plane and everybody can resume as it. Like a female air marshal in case somebody needs to be bitch slapped. Yeah. Carry in the taser for looks, make her wetter pants and get her off the damn plane. Oh, my. So it was funny. There was a remarkable lack of heckling probably because the cops were on the scene and we're trying to do what needed to be done. But when she finally got up, you know, everybody applauded that they were dragging her ass off the plane. Yeah, I hadn't clapped. Go ahead and clapped. And she leaned in to the role in front of her and gotten the face of the person who had called the store. It is said, thanks for reporting me. And the cops said, all right, that's enough and pulled her gently jerked her right out of her shoe.
46The passengers should have poked her in the nose. But I was struck by the passengers not heckling. I, I am nearly 100% certain I would yell. I'm, I would have been playing you more on. Why would you sit there quietly? Yeah. You know what the cops dumbass. Sorry, sorry folks. Oh, while we are getting more uncivil, you know, F bombs and restaurants and around kids all the time and all that sort of stuff. We're, we're, we're, and always whipping out our phones to record stuff. I feel like we're less willing to stand up to anybody behaving badly. Yeah. Well, part of it's that we've been told over and over again, let the authorities deal with it, don't deal with it yourself. And I was going to mention this the other day, just kind of fitting in with the fact that nobody said anything. I'm surprised nobody at least said something to her. They might have been prior to the cops getting there.
47I wasn't there. But I was watching a video the other day and this is completely anecdotal. Maybe I'm going out of my way to stretch this into a societal problem. Coming up the wealth tax, the stupidest idea in America. Stay with us. Jack, back to you. I was watching this video and it was at a, it was like one of those side shows somebody was having somewhere with the cars and everything like that. Anyway, it was, it was a bunch of almost entirely young men and their 20s, maybe early 30s. And, and there was one drunk and or high guy who was being really violent and belligerent this whole video. And I never got to the end of it to see out in, but I watched it for like, I never watched these videos very long. I watched this one for like eight minutes because I wondered, is anybody going to do anything about this? This shirtless guy was getting up on these people's cars and like bouncing on their hoods. See, who's going to stop me? Who's going to stop me? You and me going to get in somebody's face. If you're going to stop me, need to dance around.
48No, we can stop me. I mean, he was just, he was a very buff guy. But nobody ever did anything. All these young men stood around and let this guy act this way. And I just know my own personal life being around a lot of bars and a lot of, I, if anybody had ever acted that way, any bar has ever had, there'd have been like 10 guys lined up to fight this dude. And nobody stepped forward to challenge him. I was shocked. And for the millions of time, if this was antelopes or elephants, the world of science would be in a fever pitch. Spurm counts, testosterone levels have dropped drastically over the last 30 years or so. And again, maybe I'm extrapolating a one off situation. But I have been in that situation many times and I'm not a fighter. I'm not the guy who had done it. But I have been in that situation many times. There's plenty of guys that dream of that situation happening. They go to the bar hoping that situation will happen.
48And you had a bunch of young people standing around drinking beer and stuff like that. And just let this guy take over and act like a jackass. And nobody stepped forward and said, you better shut up now. But whatever happened, what happened to those guys? Are they gone? I hear women complain about that all the time that we're. They got low to you. No sperm. I'm wondering if it has something to do with everybody's filming it. Culture. I don't know. You know, you step in. I don't have any idea in trouble. I feel like something's changed though. Or everybody thought, wow, this is a great footage. No, they're all terrified. Everybody looked terrified. Yeah. Yeah. Well, you need to put together a little posse to take him down. You got to be able to band together and say, well, that's enough of this guy. You're with me. Let's go. Because you know, maybe it was big strong dude. Nobody thought they could take. I mean, I'm not going to get to my coma. Like I said, I've been in a lot of the situations. There's always other strong dudes that want to challenge that guy.
48Yeah. And maybe they just aren't anymore. I don't know. What do they, what do they call them in Japan again? Grass fed boys. I think is the term it's modern manhood is a little feminine. I hear that from women. I hear women saying that all the time. You say it's true. It's true. Well, several friends in the dating realm right now and they have had it. Yes. Yes. That is what women say over and over again. And well, I, you know, we've talked about the sperm count thing. It has gone off a cliff in the last several decades. So I mean, there's got to be a result to that. Yeah. Two, two thoughts. Number one, I got to see if Judy's willing to rent me out as a jiggle. Because I am a natural born lover man to quote the blues. The blues grades of old. Don't ever say that again. Whoa. Oh, I got more muddy waters quotes if you want to hear them. I tell them a child. That's right. Some of them are unerable. Man, some of those songs were dirty. Anyway, second thought is in the Katie can't stop laughing.
51You know, who won lover man or whatever that was. Natural born lover man. I just snort laughed while I was mad. Anyway, and my other thought is that I read this a while back and surely somebody is studying this somewhere. Although, oh, wait a minute. Or is it among the academic elite? Are they like so anti quote unquote toxic masculinity? Everybody thinks this is good. We should have men that are barely men at all. We're very passive and never assert themselves. Because I wouldn't want to be that sort of neanderthal. Is that attitude so pervasive in the university settings? Nobody's even studying this. But here's my question. Because I've read that danger increases testosterone. Anybody who's ever had their family threatened Jack, you have, I know, more severely than mine ever was. If anybody has had that experience, you are ready to fight bears when your family's threatened.
53Women too. We have such a safe, comfortable, passive, have the authorities deal with that society. Men are not producing testosterone because they're veal calves. They go online and have Twitter wars behind their keyboards. That's the closest they've ever come to defending themselves with their fists. I'm not enough of a biologist. Well, I'm not a biologist at all. To know if my theory's worth a damn, but it seems promising to me. Yeah, I would explain all the wispy men for sure. I wonder, I don't know. What do you, what do you women folk when you're talking behind their backs? What do you blame it on? What do you think caused it? Is it cultural or is it biological? All of my friends and I just think they're, they're liberals. Yeah. It's all these, we call them liberal wispy men. I don't know. I'm not sure what it is.
53They're tired of it though. All the young women are so angry and militant in the streets because there aren't enough natural born lover men to satisfy their needs. Well, that scenario I painted that I saw on the video, our friend Pat, what do you think he would have done if he had been in the crowd? And that guy's going around jumping on people's woods. Please, I'm only 100% certain. Yeah. There had been an ass movement. And lots of guys have known like that through my life. Maybe they just aren't anymore. Yeah. Anyway, that's an interesting phenomenon. Okay now. So what does it, you teased something good? We'll have to get to that. You know, I'm not a biologist at all, but I am half an economist. And I'm going to explain to you why the idea of the wealth tax that the far left Marxist unions in California are trying to get past. Why it's such a terrible idea. You end up with less money and everybody knows it. So why are they still advocating it? Simple explanation. Cool. That's on the way and other stuff. Stay here. Are you strong and getting? Honey. Sorry, I was dreaming about a new kitchen.

57donuts. Because why just lose an hour when you can also lose a couple of years? I like me a Dunkin' Donut. I'm going to go big an hour for on the Iranian soccer girl story. It's pretty horrifying. A BBC journalist with the reality of what's going to happen to these girls when they go back. How old are they? They're grown women. They're the national team, aren't they? I didn't know. It's like a high school teamer of older than that. Anyway, they're young women, and their future is bleak if they end up going back to Iran. More on that in hour four. Indeed. So Megan McCartle is great to calm this with Washington Post. She's very saying very smart. And she went really good. I've become a giant fan of her. I know I need to read her more regularly, but she's going into the myth of the billionaire wealth tax. And this is in particular for Californians who are soon to be victims of it, you're thinking
00I'm not a billionaire. I'm not going to be a victim of it. Oh, yeah. Yeah. And I'll explain that in a minute. But that sort of thing, Bernie Sanders is pushing it coast to coast as his AOS. Oh my God. He's. That's right. Millionaires. Anyway, here's what's wrong with it. And Megan does a nice job of laying it out. It doesn't number one. It doesn't work. But she starts with the problem with government spending is you have to pay for it. New programs often pull well when you tell people about the benefits. But when you mention raising taxes to pay for it, it's a whole different story. So what if you didn't have to tax reluctant voters to fund your big ideas? I've got it apart from the text here and point out. That's the idea of the so called progressive tax rate is you. But most of the taxes come from a very small group of people. So they can't vote against the new spending. They're not enough of them. So the more progressive the tax rate, the more regressive and non-representative the democracy is. That's why I hate the progressive tax rate. Have since I was a kid, oddly enough, and I had no money as a kid.
00Anyway. So Elon Musk is sitting on something north of 670 billion, for instance. If the government took just 5% of that, it would have almost $34 billion to spend on health care and child care and green energy, right? And there are almost 1,000 other billionaires in the country. So pass that wealth tax and warm up the money cannons, she writes. I love that imagery. Anyway, she writes, if only if it were so easy. And then she goes into the wealth tax proposed by Bernie Sanders and Rokana Democrat communist to California. Their bill would slap 5% annual wealth tax on anyone with more than a billion dollars in assets. Just pay for assets, unrealized wealth stock, whatever you would get. It was supposed to be one time originally. Yeah. She's talking about, and I'm sorry, I should have, thank you for pointing that out. She's pointing out the, pointing out the nationalized movement, okay? The national movement to do wealth taxes. There is a specific one in California that's going to be on the ballot perhaps, but everybody
01knows that if you can get that one time passed, how easy it'll get to be able to turn it into next year. Right. That's an example knows 10th sort of thing. So let's see, how much time do we have? Oh, not a lot. So there are serious arguments that it's unconstitutional anyway. But even more unfortunately, she writes, well, taxes have been tried over and over. And most countries that adopted them eventually abandoned the idea completely, finding that such taxes were difficult to administer, caused capital flight, and raised little revenue. An analysis by University of Toronto economist Joseph Steinberg suggests that tax revenue would actually fall if the Sanders counter-proposal were enacted because of increased incentives for tax evasion. And these people in their accountants are extremely sophisticated in, why don't we call it tax minimization, and people become more willing to risk penalties for evasion as you raise the station and also reduce the economic output.
04And then she goes into some great econ 101 stuff about, even if you think you can crack down on evasion and you're unconvinced by some econ 101 arguments, the capital taxes, depressed savings and output, you should still be skeptical. And then I'm looking to the clock, we don't have time for this illustration. Maybe we'll talk about it in the podcast. See the Rolling Stones moving to France when Britain tried this. Exactly. Yes, some of the main problems with it is that wealth is transportable. But people instinctively and constitutionally understand that look, I have something, this is the greatest illustration. You have a stock that's worth say $100,000. You get taxed 5% of that because this will, it starts with billionaires then it will absolutely go downtown, downtown, downtown, then they will make the case, look, you've got $5 million. How can you say you can afford your fair share to feed the poor? You've heard the arguments a million times. So anyway, you got stocks worth $100,000 gets taxed at 5%.
07Market craters because of war in the Middle East or there's a better technology, AI eliminates those jobs, whatever, that stock plunges down to $60,000. You've just lost $40,000. You don't get your 5% back. You're taxed on the momentary value of an asset. So you've got to sell it at an enormous loss and you got taxed on the value. It's just, it's an insane idea and unimplementable. Let's see, you got the problem with paper wealth, University of Michigan law school study last year, about three, we don't have time for that too many details. So anyway, it's a bad idea and it doesn't work. I'm a fan of the value added tax, I understand the arguments against it, it's essentially taxes on expenditures and only taxes on expenditures, whether I hire a prostitute who then goes to buy a gallon of paint, for instance, hooker with a nice place, all right, they want to keep it. Who's D.I. Those expenditures, so drug dealers end up paying taxes because everything they buy gets
12the value added tax put to it. So there's no tax evasion anymore. I like a harlot who's DIY in her home wife. I drive her resourceful little bit. So she bought a gallon of paint and all the money adds up to taxes. Painting is taping, don't rush that process, okay. That's a good tip. What'll you do for a hundred bucks? Wow! Geez, that was a bad way to end.
