This 6-foot 10-spaniard came off the bench for the Hawkeyes, putting up 8.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.2. A sys per game in his only season there, he stepped up big and Iowa's NCAA Tournament run, averaging 14.7 points over the first three games and draining the game-winning three. His top-seated Florida to punch their ticket to the sweet 16. That was their first trip there since 1999, though he saw limited minutes in the Elite 8 loss. Before Iowa, Fogueros dominated as a sophomore, Robert Morris, earning horizon league player of the year honors with 14.1 points. 9.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.4 steals a game.
