Hr: Zimsko sunce probijalo je oblake, stvarajući sjaj na snježnoj podlozi oko poljske bolnice.
En: The winter sun broke through the clouds, creating a glow on the snowy ground around the field hospital.

Hr: Bio je to dan školske predstave, i obiteljima iz cijele zajednice lica su bila ispunjena uzbuđenjem.
En: It was the day of the school play, and families from the entire community had faces filled with excitement.

Hr: Bijeli šatori poljske bolnice stajali su kao tiha straža, spremni za svaki slučaj.
En: The white tents of the field hospital stood as a silent guard, ready for any eventuality.

Hr: Ivan je stajao ispred jednog šatora, promatrajući okupljene ljude.
En: Ivan stood in front of one of the tents, observing the gathered people.

Hr: Bio je student medicine, volonter, i iako je bio predan i marljiv, osjećao je nesigurnost.
