The Texas Department of Transportation is shutting down all eastbound lanes of Loop 164 at that spot from Friday night at 9 pm until Monday. Morning at 5 am. This is all part of that massive expansion project they've been working on for a while now. On top of that, they're also closing down all lanes of I-10 at the interchange every night this weekend, also from 9 pm to 5 am. And get this, the frontage roads for I-10, both east and west, will be shut down during those same nightly hours. Westbound Loop 1-C-04 and its frontage roads will stay open though. Now, this isn't just a weekend thing. Starting Monday morning at 5 am, they're permanently closing the entrance ramp for Eastbound I-10 just south of the interchange.
