London's got one of the highest rates of social housing in the country, yet the problems are the worst because there's just not enough total stock. Larger homes, like four bedrooms, house way more folks, maybe eight people, and free up other spots when families upgrade, creating a ripple effect. Data backs her up just 3% of homes from City Hall's affordable homes program since 2016 have four or more bedrooms with 78% being studios or one and two beds.
