London Chefs Set World Record with 1.445-Foot Tiramisu

They layered 50,000 lady finger biscuits for the base and cracked more than 3,000 eggs for that creamy filling. Over the weekend, 100 Italian cooks gathered at Chelsea Town Hall to build the massive dessert from scratch, following strict Guinness rules. That required it to be at least 3.15 inches high and 5.9 inches wide. They dedicated it to the British Royals as a thank you. The team beat the previous record by almost 500 feet, topping a 970 foot version from Milan back in 2019. Organizers were over the moon, and one chef shared the secret, strong coffee, firm cream, and tons of passion. This beast dwarfs the shard, London's tallest building at just over 1,000 feet, and lines up to about 130 London buses into. End. Afterward, they sliced it up for the public at 11 pounds 50 pence per piece, or trays starting at 45 pounds.
