Local Auditor Joins Socialists at ‘No Kings’ Protest, Sparking Backlash

0:00This opinion column was written by Rob Anderson with ReformClarkCounty.com. Last weekend, Clark County witnessed one of the more successful events ever organized by the socialists in our area. I'll be honest, even though I believe Marxism in all its forms is antithetical to our constitutional republic, I have to give them props. Indivisible Greater Vancouver, or IGV and its offshoots, are very well organized, well funded and highly active in the county, but let's be clear, IGV wants you to think they're all about no kings, since that's what put them on the map. Fomenting hatred against the president is obviously politically useful, but don't forget this same group tried to whip everyone into a frenzy over free Palestine, which conveniently morphed into protesting the Iran operation before pivoting back to no kings this last weekend. Make no mistake, this isn't some spontaneous local grassroots organization. The fact that they all picked last Saturday, the exact same day as coordinated events across

1:04the country, is no coincidence. The National Indivisible Leadership is funded by the Democratic Socialists of America and the usual progressive suspects. While local chapters have their own supporters and funders, the overall effort is being orchestrated by socialists looking to build revolutionary momentum now and especially for the 2026 elections. On Saturday, signs supporting Antifa were visible and IGV works closely with known Antifa organizers. The most prominent banner over the stage read, Stop Fascism. Signs for the Democratic Socialists of America were proudly displayed. Why not? They are the driving force behind this movement. They have always been experts at exploiting vulnerable people and stoking social strife. They are clearly taking advantage of the many folks, mostly Democrats, but some independents and Republicans who are suffering from a bad case of Trump derangement syndrome or TDS. IGV is strategically exploiting those who have lost their way because of it.

2:08Their latest prize was Front and Center on Saturday. Clark County auditor Greg Kimsey served as a keynote speaker. Think about that. An elected nonpartisan auditor who took an oath to uphold the Constitution, paid by taxpayers stood on stage criticizing the president. The chief executive of that very Constitution, he swore an oath to defend and even seemed to speak against his own office. After 25 years in power, he led the crowd enchanting that the power of the people is greater than those in power, like himself. The crowd weakly echoed it back, perhaps noticing the obvious hypocrisy. I'm sure the socialists were smiling, happy to trot out their latest useful idiot. A term coined by Lenin to describe people who unwittingly support harmful agendas. The problem Clark County residents should now wrestle with is this. Do we really want an auditor dragging his office into the gutter of partisan politics? What are the appropriate repercussions for such a degradation of public trust?

3:12I wish I had been feeling better. I'm still recovering from surgery because I would have set up a booth or large sign that said, Stalin is proud of you today. After all, Stalin was also a democratic socialist who mastered the art of organizing the masses to feed his never-ending thirst for political power, which led to millions suffering and dying. IGV seems eager to follow in those footsteps. Nobody has exploited the masses more effectively to consolidate power and history shows exactly where that road leads. But for some reason, many seem eager to think this time it will work out differently. But it never does. However, one thing is even clearer. If Republicans, Independents, and Moderate Democrats who haven't succumbed to Marxism, unlike Auditor Kimsey, don't respond and counter this movement, elections will be lost, and worse yet, more freedoms and property, your income will continue to be claimed in the name of government spending will be hollowed out.

4:13Because Marxism and a true constitutional republic cannot coexist, one will extinguish the other, which one prevails will be up to you and me and what we do in this moment of history.
