On June 14, 2022, two El Monte Police Officers were gunned down in the Line of Duty. They responded to the report of a stabbing at a motel. Officers Michael Paredes and Joseph Santana rescued the victim but were ultimately murdered. The killer, Justin Flores, a known gang member, engaged assisting Officers with gunfire than killed himself. I will be joined by Chief Jake Fisher of the El Monte Police Department to discuss this tragic event, the ongoing investigating and to discuss how his department is coping with this tragic incident.
