Lil'Jordan Humphrey Switches Jersey Number

0:00On March 20th, Lil Jordan Humphrey is switching jersey numbers with the Denver Broncos this season. He wore number 17 last year, but the team handed that to wide receiver Jalen Waddle, who they just traded for from the Miami Dolphins. Now Humphrey looks set to take number 5. Right after the trade news broke, Humphrey posted an emoji on social media showing a hand with five fingers up. That lines up with number 5 being available on the roster. He's one of eight players still, without an official number listed online. Humphrey has worn a few different numbers in his NFL career so far, including 17, 83, 84, and 89. The change comes after he joined Denver from the New York Giants practice squad last season to fill a spot. Number 5 has seen some action recently with the Broncos. Quarterbacks Joe Flacco in 2019 and Teddy Bridgewater in 2021 wore it along with past Russia's Randy Gregory in 20. 22 and 2023 and Baron Browning this year. Trent Sherfield had it last season before getting cut mid-year.
