Now three games in, the team drafted him second overall in 2024 for his two-way potential, and he's tied for 14th among rookies. With 22 points, including a tie for fourth and assist at 20, Coach Jeff Blashell wants Lev Shunov to tighten up his defense while building on his offensive skills. Like many young defensemen, he has made some visible mistakes, such as a puck turnover that led to a goal against Nashville on February 26th.
