President Tinubu in a nationwide broadcast yesterday declared state of emergency in Rivers state, Nigeria following the political unrest that has been bedeviling the state for sometime now.
The president also suspended the governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy, alongside every other elected officials in the state, announcing a military sole administrator in person of Vice Admiral Ibas Ibok Ete.
So much concerns have been drawn to the action of the president saying he went too far with the suspension of elected leaders letting loose of democracy.
