Our educational sector might have suffered some setbacks especially in the aspect of welfare of lecturers and staff also the quality of education offered to the students amidst their environment.
No doubt, Tertiary Education Trustfund better known as TETFUND, played effective roles in the development of the both Institutions and lecturers with the sponsorship of about 23,271 lecturers to further their education to obtain their Ph.D, likewise over 18,000 were sponsored for Masters Degree.
But with the current tax reform law, there are concerns on scrapping the board that has played major roles in development of higher institutions though it gets it's funding from the 2% education tax that might not exist from next year due to the new Tax Reform law, which sees education as a right.
