Leadership Vacuum at US Military?

Amanpour

About this episode

US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll resigned yesterday following months of clashes with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. Much of that friction is understood to have stemmed from Hegseth's slashing of the army's most senior leaders. For many, Driscoll's departure is no surprise, but it leaves the military without another combat-tested leader at what some see as a time of maximum peril. CNN White House Correspondent Alayna Treene joins the show to discuss.  Also on today's show: former CDC Chief Medical Officer Dr. Debra Houry; author Annie Lowrey, "The Time Tax"; author Kurt Andersen, "The Breakup: A Novel"    Learn more about your ad choices.
