The big deadline to register hits April 20th, so hit that up quick if you haven't already. These elections pick the leaders calling shots on your community services, from roads to schools. You can vote in person at stations open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. that day, snag a postal vote if you apply by 5 p.m., April 21st, or set up a, proxy by 5 p.m., April 28th. No photo ID, no in-person vote. That's the rule across England now. Grab a free voter authority certificate by 5 p.m., April 28th of needed, but postal or proxy still work without it. Everyone on the register gets a polling card with your spot details. Eligibility straight forward, 18 are older on election day, British, Irish, Commonwealth, or qualifying EU citizen living mostly in Islington.
