Knife Crime: 2 Kids Die Monthly, 1 Stab

0:00On April 20th, a new study dropped some heavy truth on knife crime in England. At least two school-aged kids under 17 die every month from stab. Wounds. That's based on the first national look at 145 deaths from April 2019 to March 2024. Numbers jumped from 21 fatalities in 2019-20 to 36 in 2023-24. And most were from just one. Stab. These victims were mostly boys. 90% with an average age of 14.4. Three quarters came from the poorest neighborhoods, and while a third were black and another third white, black youth faced 13 times the risk.
