Kings Edge Islanders, Blues Top Oilers in OT

0:00For the NHL, it's March 14. Here's what's happening. On March 13, 2026, the NHL had just two games on the schedule. The Los Angeles Kings edged out the New York Islanders three goals to two. Meanwhile, the St. Louis Blues topped the Edmonton Oilers three to two in overtime. The Kings jumped ahead early with three first-perry goals from Trevor Moore, Anzacopatar and Adrian Kempi. That put them in control right from the start against the Islanders. The Islanders fought back with both goals coming from Emil Heinemann, assisted by Bo Horvat on each one. But they failed just short in the end. Over in St. Louis, the Oilers struck first in the second period through Casperi Caponin, set up by Leon Dries Idol. Conor McDavid added his 37th of the season later in the third. The Blues rallied late with tallies from Pia Souter and Cam Fowler, then Robert Thomas sealed the win four minutes 51 seconds into overtime. Assisted by Fowler and Jordan Cairo.
