0:00On April 9th, last month on Mother's Day, families across Islington join Kidical Mass, a global cycling event packed with kids riding bikes on city. Streets. This movement pushes for safer spaces where children can pedal freely without dodging cars. A few years back, Streets here felt too risky for family rides, with cyclists squeezed between moving and parked cars. But Islington Council rode out these low traffic neighborhoods inspired by spots like Waltham Forest. Now areas such as St. Peter's, Highbury and Canaanbury both protected lanes that families actually use. Parents and kids are loving it.
