About this episode
Kevin Stevens, yes that Kevin Stevens. Two-time Stanley Cup winner, two-time 50 goal scorer, and an absolute legend in the 1990s with the Pittsburgh Penguins. As fast as his rise was as a player, Stevens fell just as hard. Arrests, drug addiction, and trips to rehab defined a good portion of his post-playing career. Until now. Stevens is clean and living a productive life, he may not have the millions of dollars he earned as an NHL superstar, but he has his health, he has his life. His bond with former teammates in Pittsburgh will never be broken. Teammates stick together through it all and there's no better example than what Hall of Famer Mario Lemieux has done for Kevin Stevens. Stevens is back working for the Pittsburgh Penguins and has restored his relationship with his family. This shouldn't be looked at as a sad story, this is a success story of a former NHL star who dealt with real-life problems before getting back on his feet. We bring you, Kevin Stevens, on this edition of the Cam and Strick Podcast.
