Kevin Spacey Settles Sexual Assault Lawsuits

Kevin Spacey, the 66-year-old, Oster-winning actor, has settled out of court with three men who accused him of sexual assault in civil lawsuits, filed in London's High Court. The claims involved incidents from 2000 to 2013, and a trial had been set for this October. Earlier this month, on March 13, court documents showed the cases were stayed after an undisclosed settlement. Some of the accusers had already testified against Spacey in his 2023 criminal trial in London, where he was acquitted on all nine, charges from four men. Spacey has always denied the allegations, insisting the events either never happened or were consensual. The settlements come after similar outcomes, including a 2022 U.S. civil case, where a jury found him not liable. The accusations first blew up publicly in 2017, sparked by actor Anthony Rapp's claim of an assault when Rapp was just 14. More than a dozen others came forward, many from his time on House of Cards.
