Kentucky Wildcats Ranked 45th in 2026 Projections

0:00On May 2nd, it's May 2nd, 2026, and we're not even four weeks past the national championship. Already, those way-to-early projections for the 2026, 2027 season, are out from Bartorvik. Mark Poeb's Kentucky Wildcats? They're sitting at number 45 nationally, and number 12 in the SEC. Not exactly lighting it up yet. A bunch of SEC squads are ranked higher, like Arkansas I-5. Florida at 6, Texas at 12, Alabama at 18, Tennessee at 22, Vanderbilt at 23, and more down to Texas A&M at 41. Kentucky's core is mostly set, but with a few spots open, they're lagging behind the pack. Kentucky fans know Torvik wasn't sold on last year's team, and he nailed it. This time, Zoom Diallo leaves their projected contributors, with Malachai Marano and Alex Wilkins right behind. Jerome Morton slots fourth, then Cam Williams and others, though Usman and Di is in factored in yet as a potential starter.

Meanwhile, Michigan tops the list as defending champs, with Arizona, Duke, Florida, and Houston rounding out the top five. Projections are just the starting point time for Kentucky to flip the script and show what they're made of.
