He's been charged with two misdemeanors operating a vehicle with an alcohol concentration of Bay 25 or more and operating a vehicle while intoxicated. The first charge is a Class A misdemeanor, carrying up to a year in jail and a $5,000 fine, while the second is a Class C misdemeanor. With up to 60 days in jail and a $500 fine, this all stems from an incident on August 30th around 1am where police found him stopped in a no parking zone. Reports indicate he had slurred speech, glassy eyes, and a strong smell of alcohol. His blood alcohol content was recorded at 0.224, which is almost three times the legal limit of 0.08. He didn't do well on field sobriety tests either.

He also mentioned that any team discipline would be handled internally. Now the NFL has its own rules for these situations. Typically, a first time alcohol-related offense means a three game suspension. However, the league's agreement allows for harsher penalties if there are aggravating circumstances like extreme intoxication, which is defined as having an alcohol concentration of 45 or higher. Allen recently signed a one-year deal with the Colts worth up to $8.32 million. He played in their recent game against the Baltimore Ravens, catching six passes for 32 yards.
