Keegan Brown Joins Kentucky Basketball Staff

0:00On March 26, Kentucky basketball has officially hired Keegan Brown to its staff. The job was posted as Associate Director of Player Development, but his actual title is Director of roster management. Kentucky Sports Radio first broke the news on Wednesday. In this role, Brown will team up with head coach, Mart Pope, and the staff on roster building. That includes scouting players, handling transfer portal moves, planning scholarships, and using analytics for smart decisions. He will also link up with agents and outside contacts to keep everything running smoothly. Pope praised Brown as a top talent in organization in game sense, saying he is perfect for competing at the highest level. Brown himself expressed excitement about joining a program with such high standards and getting to work right away. Brown spent five seasons on Pope's staff at BYU, rising from video coordinator to director of player personnel. There, he managed video, analytics, NIO deals, transfers, and scouting.

1:00After Pope left for Kentucky, Brown took a head video coordinator job with the Milwaukee Bucks' GLE team, the Wisconsin herd. With stay-or-go meetings underway and roster spots to fill, Brown steps in at a key time to help shape the Wildcats future.
