We're going to start with, of course, the latest grotesque buffootary that is coming out of convicted felon Donald Trump on what should be one of the most serious and hallowed anniversaries this coming Friday, September 11th. Do you remember where you were on September 11th, 25 years ago? Folks, I can't believe I'm saying this, but we are about to hit the 25th anniversary of 9-11. I remember where I was. I remember what I was doing. I remember being home sick from work that day, which allowed me to catch all of it happening

2:09on the news. It was as we all know, one of the saddest and most tragic moments in American history. It should be dealt with with respect, the esteem, and just the idea of the sanctity to be able to respect the lives lost, not only those tragically that perished during that event, but those that came as heroes and heroines to be able to rescue and help so many thousands and thousands of people that perished on that day. Of course, Donald Trump, convicted felon Donald Trump always has to make it all about himself. Check out what Donald Trump said today about him as in his physical presence in the rubble on 9-11. Take a listen. We had other buildings. The United States Steel Building was creaking, really creaking. We thought it was going to fall down. The truth is it creaked a lot. It creaked. It was still creaks.

3:09But it never came down. And I'll never forget, too farman. We thought it was coming down on top of us, too farman. Big, strong guys. And I'm not the smallest guy in the world. They grabbed me under the arms. They got to get out of here. And they literally lifted me up. This is not easy to do. I'm big. They lifted me up and they started running with me. I said, fellas, I can run myself. But they were amazing. But they thought it was coming down. It didn't come down. US Steel. I'm going to be rude and petty for a second. If I could put on my petty bitch hat, yeah, he's a big effing guy. He was big back then, too. But it never freaking happened. Okay? So there's two different interpretations of what this man just said right now, both of which are lies. Either he was in the midst of the rubble. And so they came to help him out of the rubble, which we all know is not true. Or he went to go see the rubble, which was also just offensive, like why interfere with people that are doing their jobs at great risk to their selves.

4:12Why would you go in and interfere with that and be in a place where you would actually create physical harm to first responders because they have to come and save your fat ass. And so in either scenario, Fallon Trump has created just bullshit. But what's alarming to me is he's saying all of this publicly. And it's not getting fat checked in real time. Why would CNN continue to play something like that when they know that it's not true? And it doesn't take a lot to be able to verify this. But this is what's happening, right? This man gets up and he says stuff, ends up being lies. And then people want to run with it if they support him. Or we have to sit here and spend time to fact check it. But you know, it merits the fact checking the fact that this guy is full of shit. Now here's some more evidence of Trump not telling the truth about 9-11. I'm going to play two clips back to back. I want to see if you detect the BS between those two clips. Sidney, go ahead. I have about 100 men working down here.

5:14So just to spare them on. Hi, folks. Hi, folks. I have over 100 men out. And I hear doing an amazing job. So I just want to give him some support. He's a bit of a beard. Yeah, I've met from my company. We have another 100 coming in a little while. And how long have they been down here? They've been down here for about a day and a half. I have hundreds of men inside working right now. And we're bringing down another 125 in a little while. And they've never done work like this before. And they're hardworking people, but they've never seen anything like it. So let me be clear. I'm sure the people that actually worked for felon Trump back in 2001 were hardworking people. I'm not casting as versions on them. I am calling out Donald Trump for lying about having, quote, hundreds of men. Now, the first clip we played for you, he said he had about 100 men. Then he claimed he was going to have another 100 men come. And then did you notice in the immediate second clip? By the way, those two interviews took place on the same exact day, just a few days after,

6:16maybe two days after 9, 11 happened back in 2001. In that second clip, felon Trump says hundreds of men and hundreds more are coming. Okay, I want you to stop and think about it. Of course, it was not totally organized. And of course, there was chaos going on. But you know, they're not just going to let random people go down to ground zero. I don't know. For those of you that were actually there on the islands in Manhattan, I'm sure you'll know. And maybe you can chime in, please in the chat. And maybe you can correct me if I'm wrong. But I remember the security was incredibly tight. Once they got people evacuated from that area, it was not like let anybody come and help their sculpture to be able to do that. Why? Because they were actually, again, being put at great physical peril. So we have to fact check them because he's Donald Trump. And if he's breathing, he's lying. The battalion chief of the New York Fire Department, a gentleman by the name of Richard Alice, A-L-L-E-S. He was the chief of the NYFD, the New York Fire Department at the time of the attacks.

7:23He spent several months himself in the ruins of ground zero. He told Politifact back in 2019, quote, I was there for several months. I have no knowledge of his being down there as in Donald Trump. Battalion chief Alice also saying that there would have been a physical record, a documentary record of Donald Trump sending 100 or more workers to aid in recovery efforts at ground zero. There is not a single documentary piece of evidence that corroborates felon Trump's claims that he, what, in some way generously sent hundreds of his, quote, men to ground zero to help in recovery efforts. The interviews that I played for you were given just a few blocks away from ground zero, right? And when asked about it, like you heard, he said we have over 100, we have another 125

8:24coming. That was to a German TV station and the second clip we played for you was to an NBC News station or NBC News. And he said we currently have hundreds of men working, we have another 125. They've never done work like that before. It's terrible. Then on the campaign trail in 2016, felon Trump saying that he himself helped clear the rubble at ground zero. He said everyone who helped clear the rubble and I was there and I watched and I helped a little bit, but I want to tell you those people were amazing. I don't disagree folks. I think the people that were there legitimately were amazing. They were doing the work that needed to be done and it wasn't Donald Trump doing it and it certainly wasn't any of his men doing it. Now in the meantime, not only is he sitting or telling tales, tall tales about sending people down to help in recovery efforts, but then he also was saying this about the tallest building

9:25in Manhattan. Remember folks, the timing of what was going on when he made these statements. You have one of the landmark buildings down in the financial district, Forty Wall Street. Did you have any damage or what's happened down there? Well, it was an amazing phone call. I made Forty Wall Street actually was the second tallest building in downtown Manhattan and it was actually before the World Trade Center was the tallest. And then when they built the World Trade Center, it became known as the second tallest and now it's the tallest. Really? Thousands of people dead. You haven't even begun the true recovery of them and that's the important thing for you. Remember this, right? This is 2001 and yet this man hasn't changed at all, right? 25 years later, it's still all about him. It remember just a few minutes ago, I told you that Trump said that he himself was there clearing rubble. Yeah. I'm not the one who made that up. I'm not the one putting words in his mouth. This is what he had to say, took a listen. And I went down there very shortly thereafter the following day, you couldn't go down the

10:26same day, but like the following, very, very quickly afterwards. And we worked long and hard, but it was just so terrible and so hopeless. It was so hopeless, such a terrible thing. We worked long and hard. That we is doing a lot of heavy lifting, isn't it not? The last I checked, basic English grammar, we means you and me or myself and others. Again, the common denominator and any of those two scenarios being felon Trump being there working. And we know that SOB hasn't worked a day, hasn't worked an honest day of work in his life. So once again, busted because none of it is true. Footnote, is it me or just trade gout, you look a little weird in that interview? I'm just saying. And of course, because it has to be all about convicted felon Donald Trump, this is what Trump had to say about the amazing man in the red bandana.

11:29Then suddenly a rescue appeared, they call him the man in the red bandana. Have you heard that term? The man in the red bandana has become more famous than me. I don't like it. Very unhappy, but he's become much more famous than me. I have to question the people behind him clapping. That wasn't the clap worthy moment. But again, Donald Trump making it all about himself. This is the type of man who is supposed to be the leader of the free world. And this is how he ends up speaking today as we are getting up to be on the 25th anniversary of 9-11. Clearly, clearly none of this is true. Now some of you may be asking, you know, Katie, we know it. Nice hear comments, right? We know. His native tongue is lying as what someone just said. I understand. And I get it. This is the type of stuff that we need to show people. Because we talk about stolen valor when it comes in the context of the military. This is the same damn shit.

12:30And in some ways, it's just as bad, right? For this country to have to be punched so hard in the gut, 9-11 in 2001, to have to be hit so hard the way that we were. We did rally after that. We did have a huge comeback, did we not? Yet we certainly didn't do it with the help of felon Trump. So for him to be allowed to say all of this and to not be fat checked and to not be stopped, we're doing our duty, are we not? And a part of the headlines today, dealing with 9-11, was this. This was the release from the New York City mayor, Mamdani, about the documents that were evidencesing the fact that the air quality, that those records, and the quality of that air, that the truth of it was hidden from the people that went to contribute and to help with recovery efforts. These documents, according to the New York Times, showing more than 170,000 pages of air

13:31quality reports, contamination records, and correspondence among city officials. These records being stored in 68 boxes inside a city office were hidden from public eyes for more than two decades and discovered only last year in 2025. And those records show that. Apparently, the air quality was so bad and they did nothing about it. In fact, they let people go back down to grand zero and into that area. And they shouldn't have done so. And how did this all come to light? Because of litigation that was brought by an organization called 9-11 Health Watch. This advocacy organization sued to force the publication of these documents. Mayor Mamdani stating that he wanted to make sure that they came to light, take a listen to what he had to say about why he wanted these records released.

14:32As Congressman Nadler once said, each time they take a struggling breath, each time they have to swallow a pill, each time another chemo dose is administered. And as the years pass and the human toll grows, we reckon with the cost of September 11th, whenever another New Yorker is stolen from us too soon. Now, close to 25 years later, more people have died from 9-11 related illnesses than were killed on the day itself. It would be one thing if government had stood alongside survivors and provided them with everything they needed at every step of the way. And yet we know that could not be further from what actually happened. People got sick because the leaders they trusted, lied and told them they were safe to breathe in toxic air. And then when they began to contend with the symptoms of the illnesses that followed, the government that had not hesitated to send them into harm's way was nowhere to be.

15:34We have to be grateful, right, for Mayor Momdani. Can I let you guys know this? The Mayor budgeted $34 million. Mayor Momdani budgeted $34 million to release these documents to the public. They wanted to make sure that the public knew that the city knew about the toxic chemicals, how dangerous they were, the fact that they were in the air. And that city officials lied when they told the people that that air was safe and acceptable when it came to the levels. Now, remember I mentioned there was a lawsuit that was brought by 9-11 Health Watch. Now, based upon this newly released information, we may be saying even more litigation, which could also not only help those that were sick to be able to get federal victim compensation funds. I mean, you heard what Mayor Momdani said. We've now lost more people as a result of getting sick from 9-11 than we did on that fateful day. And, there could be new or amended lawsuits that could also expose more and bring more

16:35transparency to what happened. It's horrible because the exposure to this toxicity, this air quality being so poor, gave exposure to things like asbestos, which caused lung tissue scarring, mesothelioma, and lung cancer. The dust, the smoke, and other pollutants have been associated with lymphoma, leukemia, and other cancers. There have been people that have died as a result of 9-11. And as we sit here, again, on the eve of the 25th anniversary, I think it's important that we juxtapose this news together. That of a man who, again, I equate to it being like stolen valor, convicted felon Donald Trump wanting to take credit for something he didn't do for help he never gave. And then we look at somebody like Mayor Momdani who says we are going to give the information to the people and hopefully that will help them be able to get money to help with their treatments and that we can get the truth out.

17:36I mean, what a comparison, right? Talk about polar freaking opposites with that. I know we're going to get even closer to 9-11 in just a few days, but I wanted to make sure that we hit this at sidebar because I find it to be disgusting and grotesque that Trump thinks that we don't know the truth about what happened on that day. Now here's some other news that I know made me pissed off and I know made you angry. The secretary of the Smithsonian is going to be retiring. The very first black person and first historian to lead the Smithsonian, he served in this role for seven years. And you may ask yourself, well, why is he retiring? Well in large part because of the way that Donald Trump has treated him and the role that he has had. Mr. Bunch started at the Smithsonian, folks, in 1978. I know a lot of you are too young to remember when that was. But he started in 1978.

18:36He served in a curatorial and leadership position at the National Air and Space Museum and the National Museum of American History. He left the Smithsonian briefly to go to be the president of the Chicago Historical Society, but he came back in 2005 to establish the National Museum of African American History and Culture. I don't know if you guys have been, if you haven't, you have to make it a priority. But I want you to think about the value of this man, Mr. Bunch. The historical knowledge he has, literally, figuratively. The institutional knowledge this man has. Think about the fact that he has made this his life's work to invest in the Smithsonian, to invest in these museums, to make sure that he is a protector, a curator, and a guardian of our American history, a history that deserves and must be protected so that the truth maintains its integrity.

19:39Because this administration has shown that it wants to whitewash history, rewrite history, and delete history. So it is incredibly sad to hear that Mr. Bunch is going to be resigning from the Smithsonian. The Smithsonian was created in 1846 through an act of Congress, created by Congress. And it has been viewed, of course, as many of these departments and agencies and organizations have been viewed until now with Trump as independent of the executive branch. It has a board of regents who has to pick a new leader now that Mr. Bunch is resigning. It's a 17-person panel led by Chief Justice John Roberts of the Supreme Court of the United States. There are six members of Congress split along party lines, nine private citizens, and worthless vice-president J.D. Vance. Now three of those nine private citizen roles, those members, have expired and yet no replacement names have been provided to Congress, which is a sign that there is thumb on the scale

20:43activity going on by this regime. Last month, the dumb ass extraordinaire Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgham wrote a letter to this board at the Smithsonian. He said, quote, executive departments and agencies cannot in good conscience continue to support the Smithsonian under its current leadership. So of course, this gentleman, Mr. Bunch, under a saleman and under assault by not only just Donald Trump. Last year, I feel remember, Trump's side tried to overhaul the Smithsonian with an executive order that accused the Smithsonian of promoting, quote, narratives that portray American and Western values as inherently harmful and oppressive and called for the end of federal spending on exhibitions that degrade shared American values, divide Americans based on race or promote programs or ideologies inconsistent with federal law. Then the White House demanded that the Smithsonian turn over information about its exhibitions.

21:46Mr. Bunch said, we are independent of you, but we will give you the materials and the attempts to be transparent. Bell and Trump, just announcing online as well, he's dismissing the director of the National Portrait Gallery, calling her a, quote, highly partisan person and a strong supporter of DEI. This woman, Kim Sejit, ended up resigning instead of having to deal with this drama and this horrific treatment. And then this past July 4th, the White House published a report that accused the National Museum of American History, its director of, quote, radical activist ideology and accused the Museum of undermining, quote, faith in American institutions. Bell and Trump has ordered warning signs to be installed at the entrance to the museum to reflect, quote, that there are incorrect American history that is at these museums.

22:50Of all the things that this president could be paying attention to, health insurance, taxes, tariffs, illegal war, right? Child care, minimum wage, the economy, price of gas, I could go on and off, but this is the type of shit that Trump and this administration prioritize. So much so that a man like Mr. Bunch with his storied, respected career is now pretty much forced out of this bussony. I mean, there's really no words, right? I mean, this is how much of an upside down world we live in that somebody who has intellect, experience, training and actually gives a shit about wanting our country to have a history that is respectful of the truth. Now he's gone. It's not a coincidence he's a black man, right? I mean, I don't have to say it, right? It's not a coincidence that Trump would target a black man.

23:52Just surprise it's not a black female, right? Because that seems to be more of his jam. So that is where we find ourselves with the latest out of Smithsonian. It's terrible news. Hopefully Mr. Bunch will end up in a role. There is some statement he made that it sounds like maybe he'll be in maybe a no more activist role, which would be amazing. But we as Americans lose, when somebody like Mr. Bunch leaves a place like this of Sonian, like that woman who is running the National Portrait Gallery when she leaves, right? We all lose as Americans. We get punished because of the stupidity, the hatred, the racism and the misogyny of convicted felon Donald Trump. At this time, what do we do? Now we got some good news, because you know I can't not give you guys some good news. But before, I guess I have to ask, do you want a little bit of some, not some good news first? Let's do that really quickly. So Donald Trump, his administration, asking the Supreme Court of the United States to restore access by the states to something called a citizen database. And he wants to be able to do so before the November election. Now, if it sounds like this is yet another case going to SCOTUS, you're absolutely right. It is another case going to SCOTUS.

30:08So what he's trying to do is he wants to be able to have the states get access to this database that was compiled and a federal judge and a district court judge, right? Federal judge and the Pellacore said, you know what? No, no, no, no. We're not going to let you do this. We're going to put the pause. We're going to hit the pause button on this. But yeah, this is what he wants to do. He wants SCOTUS to allow this federal citizen database to be used because it's currently blocked from using this tool. Now if SCOTUS allows this to happen, the states could use a DHS database to check voter information against federal citizenship and social security records. I remember I had to talk about how it's a hammer in search of a nail always with his claims of voter fraud. Trump has claimed without any type of proof that voter fraud is happening. So what happened was these new applications to SCOTUS include the other one that dealt with the US Postal Service Rule that would have been the whole mail-in ballot thing that

31:12whole scheme, well, that one got appealed to SCOTUS as well. So it's the second of appeal to SCOTUS. This one deals with the systematic alien verification for entitlements or save, different than the save act, by the way. This is what the government has said is an online service that enables users to verify a person's citizenship status often within seconds. This federal database goes back to 1986. Now I want you guys to hear what the original purpose was of this database. This federal database that was created in 1986 was done. That the federal government and state and local officials could search immigration status to help determine eligibility for public benefits. So the database and its origin and its genesis had good things, public benefits, but now Trump wants to pervert its good purpose into something bad. Then Trump took that database, expanded it by including data from the Social Security

32:13Administration. And the lawsuit, the plaintiffs are saying, look, not only is that unreliable and incomplete information from the Social Security Administration but evilates privacy protections. And so now Trump is asking the Supreme Court of the United States to get involved and to allow him to be able to have access to that database before we have our November midterm. So once again, what is this show? It shows how nefarious an evil Trump is. And I get that. Now Project 2025 is alive and well. I get that. But I want you folks to think about this for a second. If things were going so well for us in this country, if people were so happy with how things are going with the power trifecta that the Republicans have in the Senate, the House, and in the Oval Office, why would you need to do this? Why would you need to rig the outcome of the November midterms if things were going so smoothly? Well, and you guys, we know what the answer is, right? Because it's not. Because the polls are showing it.

33:13Because the people are claiming, exclaiming it, excuse me, how bad things are. And that's the reason why he's trying to sit here in a rig in November elections. Which is why, as I posted earlier today, we found out the next No Kings Day is October 17th. It's a day of mass mobilization. Instead of people convening in just, you know, some many cities across the world, it's what's going to happen in your own backyard, in your own immediate community, where you are, voter registration, knowing where your polling places are, knowing how your community is going to get there, how are we going to make sure people are there? Because no matter how hard this regime tries to keep us from voting, we're all going to vote. We're going to protect our registration. We're going to protect our vote. We will not be disenfranchised. But we have to keep an eye on what happens in the courts. That's exactly what Trump is doing. He's trying to get the Supreme Court to help him get across the finish line in November, despite everything that we are doing. But don't fear. Don't fear.

34:14We're taking care of business in many ways. Now here's some good news as well. This just coming from an appeals court, check out this because I thought you guys should see this. If you'll recall, here at Katie Fang News, last year, I covered a lawsuit that was brought by the Center for Taxpayer Rights against the IRS. And that was because the IRS was giving taxpayers confidential information to the Department of Homeland Security, more specifically ICE, and they were using that data to be able to go and deport people, get them, find them, deport them. Several groups sued because the IRS, by that time of that lawsuit, it turned over more than 47,000 private and confidential records. The district court told the IRS you cannot use this procedure of getting information, excuse me, told the IRS, you can't give this information to the DHS and told the DHS, you cannot get this information from the IRS. And in a pellet court today, just this afternoon, agreed with that district court stating,

35:20we affirm the decision from the district court to stop the IRS from turning over this data to the DHS and from the DHS from being able to access this data. And I'm going to read just a little bit from this opinion because it's important for you to know. It says, every year, millions of taxpayers submit sensitive personal information to the IRS and the course of filing their tax returns. As a result, the IRS probably has more information about more people than any other agency in this country. And almost every other agency that has a need for information about US citizens therefore logically seeks it from the IRS. But doesn't it stop and make you wonder what the hell the IRS is doing in the first instance agreeing to be able to create and use this protocol?
