Kansas Edges TCU in Big Twelve Quarterfinal

0:00On March 13th, INA TIGHT Big 12 Tournament Quarter Final, third-seeded Kansas EGDOW TCU, 78-73 Thursday night at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City. The J-Hawks dominated at the free-throw line, going 30 out of 37 to hold off a late TCU rally that included several three-pointers in, the final minute, the games stayed close for 40 minutes with lead changes and foul trouble on both sides. TCU let it half-time, thanks to strong play early on, but Kansas pulled ahead in a one-possession battle down the stretch. TCU standouts included sophomore David Punch with a double-double of 24 points and 10 rebounds keeping the horn frogs in it during, drunch, time. Louis Tarras, Lelevicious, added 14 points and 8 boards, while Jaden Pierre chipped in 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. Kansas now moves to the semi-finals to face second-seeded Houston Friday at 830 Central Time, airing on ESPN or ESPN2.
