Justin Simmons: Broncos Legend Retires After 8-Year Run

Drafted out of Boston College in 2016, he became a cornerstone for the team, earning respect on and off the field. He racked up massive accolades, including three Walter Payton Man of the Year awards for his community work in Denver, plus three-time team captain, honors and four-second team all pro nods. Simmons led the locker room through ups and downs, turning into one of the Broncos' most recognizable voices. Fans and the organization built a deep bond with him, especially after he nearly joined the 2015 Super Bowl champs. He poured his heart into the city, calling Denver his home and crediting Broncos' country for shaping his life and family. The end came in 2024 when Denver released him to manage the salary cap, leading to a short stint with the Atlanta Falcons where he played 16 games and snagged two picks.
