Jurors Horrified by Predator's 6-Minute Assault on a Dead Body

True Crime

About this episode

In today’s episode, we explore a tragic and shocking case from Pennsylvania in 2014. Jessica Padgett, a 33-year-old preschool teacher and loving mother, disappeared without a trace after leaving work one day. What happened to Jessica was so horrifying that even the jury refused to watch some of the video evidence presented during the trial. Born on December 15th, 1980, Jessica was a bright and energetic child who spent her entire life in Pennsylvania. Raised by her mother and stepfather, whom she considered her second dad, Jessica grew up to pursue a career in preschool education. While in college, she met Michael Padgett, and their relationship blossomed over eight years, during which they had two children together. In August 2014, Jessica and Michael tied the knot, solidifying their family of five, including Michael’s son from a previous relationship. Despite the usual ups and downs of family life, Jessica was known to be happy and deeply devoted to her family. But just four months after her wedding, Jessica vanished, leaving her loved ones desperate for answers. It was only through meticulous investigation and crucial CCTV footage that the horrifying truth behind her disappearance came to light. What happened to Jessica Padgett? Who was responsible, and what secrets came to the surface during the trial?
