In February of 2022 HB 5522 was introduced to the IL house to ban assault weapons in IL. In the last two days it has gained 23 co-sponsors. There is real momentum and the time for advocacy is now.

Once it passes the IL house it would go to the senate (then time to start calling there). The gold star is to call daily, even if your rep is a cosponsor – but even calling once goes a long way.
