Josh Paschal's New Lease on Life with Browns

0:00On April 21st, Josh Pascal, the Detroit Lions second-round pick from 2022, got waved this off-season at age 26. The defensive end showed up Tuesday for the Cleveland Browns' veteran mini-camp, his first real shot with another team since leaving Detroit. Injuries derailed his time with the Lions, he played just 10 games as a rookie, 12 in 2023, 14 in 2024, and missed all of 2025 with a nagging back issue. Still, over 36 games and 18 starts, he notched 62 tackles, 5 sacks, 15 quarterback hits, and two fumble recoveries. Fans hate seeing this happen, especially since he's the first second-rounder from Brad Holmes' era to get cut by the Lions. Pascal's story hits hard. He beat cancer in college, served as team captain, and was always easy to cheer for despite the setbacks. His rookie deal actually rode over to 2026 after the miss season, but Detroit decided to part ways instead of holding on to the affordable talent.

1:02Now he's one of 11 vets trying out at the Browns 3-day camp for their new head coach. Word is, Pascal could stick in Cleveland or pop up elsewhere soon, rooting for him to cast that break and get back on the field where he belongs.
