John Beaudry | Unearthing the Healing Power of Dirt
About this episode
Tired of burnout and overwhelm? The solution might not be a breakthrough—it might be a backyard.
In this soul-stirring and unexpectedly practical episode of Magnify Your Message, I sit down with John Beaudry, the founder of Community Green, a nonprofit transforming cities one green space at a time, and the celebrated landscape designer behind Beaudry Garden Design.
John has been featured in Architectural Digest, San Diego House & Garden, Pacific Horticulture, and more—but it’s not just the beauty he creates that’s captivating. It’s the way he uses nature as a powerful tool to reconnect us to ourselves, to one another, and to what really matters.
💡 In this episode, you’ll learn:
🌱 Why “just planting flowers” could be a radical act of healing… and how even a few pots on a balcony can be a gateway to personal transformation and community reconnection.
🌱 The counterintuitive path to relevance…that does not involve external validation
🌱 How nearly dying brought John back to life… and how facing death helped him uncover his deepest purpose.
🌱 Why restoring nature may be our best bet for restoring humanity
🌱 How to start—even if you don’t have a “green thumb”... because killing plants is part of the journey. (Yes, really.)
This episode is filled with inspiration, practical insight, and the kind of perspective shift that stays with you long after the last word.
